On the alleged morelos rumour and people wanting him back, he was DUI and injured someone badly, but it's OK to get him back, lunacy, Lawrence gets villified, IMO none of the 2 of them deserve a place at Ibrox no matter how some posters try to justify it, two drunk drivers with no regards for the safety of others, no excuses ever, but carry on n knock yourselves out.
29 Dec 2025 16:28:04
I don't get the backward looking at players full stop Fork. I was a big fan of Morelos but his behaviours ruined his time with us.
Its non stop, Morelos Lawrence, Barisic, Kent, Patterson, Hagi, Kamara, Sima and Cerny, sure I've missed some but let's look forwards and not backwards.
29 Dec 2025 16:29:20
Fork the post on the rumours page was about him going to Celtic mate, my only point was if it did happen he's the best cf in Scotland, easily at that.
29 Dec 2025 16:31:53
Fork I am in 100% agreement with you.
Many will remember I fervently criticized the initial signing of Lawrence.
29 Dec 2025 17:08:08
Morelos is a **** bag always has been.
29 Dec 2025 17:14:59
I don't understand the interest in resigning old players also.
29 Dec 2025 17:22:14
Fork, in you're opinion should we have terminated gazzas contract for bringing the club into disrepute over his vicious assault on his wife.
Should he be in the Ibrox hall of fame?
Is what he done not worse than the drink driving incident of Morelos?
I say it is, but that's only my opinion. I know opinions will vary on this.
29 Dec 2025 17:27:37
I'm aware of Coops rumour, yet some want him back, not fit to wear the Jersey, I'd be of the same mind if any player past or present caused violence or injury thru drink.
29 Dec 2025 17:38:36
Best cf in Scotland easily? He produced 10 goals in each of his last 3 seasons in spl, how does that make him the best easily, when there's players scoring double that? Granted he was good in Europe, but he never, ever, hit the heights in the spl. Weight problems, attitude problems, sending off problems, terrible record v celtic, missing crucial European games through attitude, he couldn't wait to get out the door.
Blows my mind the clamour for him. He's found his place in Colombia, leave him there, there's guys out there that will bust a gut, constantly for half the wages. Mystar I've had a look to the best of my ability, can't see anything stating Colombian league is 11th best in world, there way below that mate.
29 Dec 2025 17:50:32
Boy blue name one better, Morelos could work the full defence mate, outstanding on his game, cf's do more than score goals, him on it was class.
29 Dec 2025 18:10:36
Cyriel Dessers, Kyogo, Henrik Larson to name but 3 who were better for a team. Morelos had 8 red cards at Rangers; the most any player has ever had.
took him 15 games as well to score against Celtic. 3 goals in total in 23 games vs them. we lost more than half of those games so his battling didn't help us much vs Celtic. I liked him on his day as he could bully defences but he was a liability with red cards.
has his attitude changed in that time; well he has not succeeded at Santos and been on loan to lots of clubs before ending up back in Colombia. so at the time yes but not for me now. anyway we have Chermiti whose 12% shot conversion rate is only slightly worse than Morelos' 13% ?.
29 Dec 2025 18:13:35
My star does he need to name one better.
He is challenging your statement in a respectful way so no need to come back with that response because you may have been proven wrong.
29 Dec 2025 18:20:17
See my comment Stevie in reply to what u ask, that's just after yours, both went up about the same time. I've always been of that mindset regardless of who it is or was and if they were gd or not.
29 Dec 2025 18:20:30
Morelos isn't top ten centre forwards in our history (in my opinion).
He done well but was very frustration to watch, I'm glad he's found some form and I'm glad I don't need to watch him anymore.
29 Dec 2025 18:25:25
Rosevale I'm asking him to name one better in Scotland now, and how have i been proved wrong? I would love you explaining that.
29 Dec 2025 18:41:44
I think if a player improves the starting 11 then it should be considered.
Morelos is looking fit again (lean) and would walk into this team. His linkup and hold up play would be the best in the league.
Not sure if he's improved his finishing tho? Which was always quite poor.
The issue for me with bringing him back is having to pay a fee, which I'd be reluctant to do.
29 Dec 2025 18:45:59
Fork fair enough. However. Should Gazza be in the Rangers football club hall of fame aftet what he done?
29 Dec 2025 18:47:36
There isn't a striker in Scotland now who could lace Morelos boots.
29 Dec 2025 18:49:03
Shankland is better than Morelos right now. Who could forget the new role invented to excuse Morelos lack of goals??.
29 Dec 2025 18:52:23
Fork, I find this a difficult one to comment on.
Part of me agrees in principle, however at the same time we as a club celebrate former players who are guilty of offences that some may clarify as worse, or potentially equal.
I also find myself conflicted with Martindale, who've I've actually spoken with on the subject.
Part of me thinks he's a brilliant advert for redemption - part of me is really uncomfortable with someone with his history managing a club in our top league.
How and where we all draw our own personal lines is a complicated topic.
29 Dec 2025 18:57:31
So when was he on it in spl, or against celtic? How many titles did we win, with him "on it"?
The old go to line when people can't point out his achievements in spl, is he could occupy a full back line, pity he never done it much in spl.
This guy couldn't do the most basic thing for his adoring fans, stay fit. Anyway it's safe to say our club wouldn't even consider bringing someone like him back.
29 Dec 2025 18:58:46
Correct Stevie.
29 Dec 2025 19:01:30
Thursday night morelos was a monster.
29 Dec 2025 19:17:11
I get where you are in relation to this EHL, I'm more black n white bud, but see your dilemma, as u say each person has their own thoughts, mine are based on how they disregard the safety of others for their own ends, regardless of what they do or don't bring to the table.
29 Dec 2025 19:39:20
I wouldn't bring Alfie back but I also wouldn't disrespect whet he did at Rangers, Being a striker isn't all about scoring goals and we have not had anybody even close to being as good since he left, maybe Igamane would have got there if we hadn't sold him on the cheap. Interesting that we are using the DUIs to discount the likes of him and Lawrence as Rangers players but I seem to remember SuperAlly getting done for this as well back in the day, no accident but that is just good luck, plus we have him fighting in chip shops, then as somebody has said there is Gazza and all his misdemeanours.
Double standards.
29 Dec 2025 20:21:34
Since I used DUI, read my comments again I'm not selective and there are no double standards, comments are self explanatory or don't you read the Kings English.
29 Dec 2025 20:37:34
Fork I can see where you are coming from and probably agree with eh more serious crimes where someone is killed or seriously injured. However as a balance should footballers' criminal sentences not be seen as spent after a period of time for the same reasons as any other citizen: to support rehabilitation and reintegration into society and employment, and to allow individuals to move forward with their lives without being permanently penalised for past mistakes.
what Lawrence did was wrong and he was punished for it, however leniently the courts would have dealt with it I guess. but that time was spent, he should have been seen to change and then a decision made.
re Gascoigne I think he had claims of harassment in 2015 and sexual assault in 2019 (he was cleared for this) so the question is has he truly rehabilitated.
29 Dec 2025 22:41:29
Fork yes I read the English language perfectly well thanks mate, I'm just not so good at speaking it haha
I just feel u were being evasive to the question to be totally honest, whereas with Morelos u are very vocal.
I'll not bother u about it again mate I respect u and like u and don't mean to be a di** ??.
30 Dec 2025 05:31:23
Not evasive in any way I answered the question in each post, again the Kings English comment is not directed at u,, u really need to look at the posts.
30 Dec 2025 10:18:35
Ehl, u put your point across well as always mate and as u say Martindale is a great advert for how we can all change direction in life.
What I'd say to u mate having lived a life similar to martindale into only a few years ago mate is this.
What that man has done to change his life is nothing short of remarkable and he deserves all the plaudits that come his way for doing so. He's a remarkable man for doing what he's done, that's not an easy change. Especially to the level he's now at. Good for him and good for the people who took a chance on him and believed in him when he put his case across
If we don't forgive and give people chances to change not one of us in this world would be anything.
