Maybe just me, but I think the spend in January (albeit an expensive window normally) will be something tosee by both the Old Firm.
Hearts will strengthen and the Old Firm need a big push as they will both probs be out of Europe as well by then.
Just my opinion.

Hearts can't spend they need follow the same rules as other clubs with FFP they need 2 get rid off players first it was in the news a couple off week bk mate.
28 Oct 2025 18:25:50
What FFP is there in Scotland?

I'm sure Bloom wanted to invest in more players in January but isn't allowed due to his ownership / stake in other clubs.
Don't know if that affects loans.
28 Oct 2025 18:40:07
Bob, I'm afraid that's not accurate.

Scottish football does not have a distinct national FFP system, but its clubs must adhere to UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, now known as Financial Sustainability Regulations (FSR), IF they compete in European competitions, Hearts don't as it stands.
The SPFL (Scottish Professional Football League) focuses more on punishing clubs for entering administration rather than having its own strict spending limits like those in the English Premier League.
Easily searchable and been stated on here on many occasions.

Mph, read that he can't invest more.
That want stop Hearts signing a 2/ 3 players, maybe loan with buy option, Braga for 400/ 500k is some buy.

I totally expect if come January they are still going strong they will make a big push. Possibly using loans with obligations or whatever to get round any rules but they won't get a bigger chance and with only one champions league spot up for grabs it's worth even using what set aside for next year to try and get them over the line.
It's going to be an interesting season whatever happens now.

Cheers Fork ?.
28 Oct 2025 19:05:38
That won't.

I think if hearts are challenging come January - which looks like that will be the case - we could see some players going there on loan from within Blooms football empire.
Wouldn't be surprised to see some players of the Evan Ferguson ilk rock up at tyncastle to see them over the line.
Not currently getting game time at Roma….

No probs bud?.

28 Oct 2025 21:53:26

Tony Bloom won't in a million years let an opportunity like this slip away easily, mark my words we will see significant moves in January at Gorgie.
