The window is now shut.
We have lost the following goals from the team across all competitions.
Dessers - 29
Cerny - 18
Igamane - 16
Lawrence - 6
Hagi - 4
McCausland - 3
Propper - 2
Jefte - 1
Balogun - 1
Are we confident that the following can replace these goals?
Miovski, Chermiti, Antman, Gassama, Cameron, Curtis, Fernandez, Djiga, Meghoma, Rothwell, Aarons, Aasgaard, Moore and Cornelius.
So far, only Gassama and Curtis have stepped up. And Curtis, if reports are to be believed isn't fancied by Martin.
Also, huge pressure on one of Miovski, Chermiti and Danilo to score 30 goals as that was the benchmark Dessers was measured against as the main striker.
And a similar pressure on Antman and Gassama to return the numbers as Cerny in both goals and assists.
The $64,000 question is - can Martin get the best out of this squad?

Yes think we can spread the goals out more evenly through out the side. Its the defence i think we need to shore up. I don't think martin is the man for us but what i will. saynis. if we play the style of play we did against Celtic we will be a lot better than the tippyntappy back wards, suicical defending stuff that we have seen so far.

The top 3 i'm worried won't be matched but the others aren't high stats so think the rest of our midfield and wide men can be better than we had, IF Martin can get it together.

I already know the usual guys will disagree but oh well.
The goals don't technically need "replaced. "
Most of Dessers goals were meaningless fodder. (not all, but most)
I said this in another post, Dessers missed so many chances last season (or was offside) and the season before that also.
However, the start of this season there are not as many chances being created. Therefore obviously the goals are drying up.
If you look at it that we need someone to replace the likes of Dessers goals then we will still win nothing of importance.
We need players that will score game winning goals.
And also a defence that doesn't leak goals, that always helps.

I've disproved your "Dessers doesn't score important goals" before with facts, Ally.
So you are talking nonsense.
And if we create less chances, we therefore need a prolific goalscorer?
Celtic game - 4 shots on goal ( none on target ) , only need 1 goal - 25% conversion rate.
St Mirren game - 13 shots on goal ( 6 on target ) , only need another goal to win, 20% conversion rate.
Dundee game - 20 shots on goal ( 5 on target ) , only need another goal to win, 25% conversion rate.
Motherwell game - 15 shots on goal ( 5 on target ) , only need another goal to win, 25% goal conversion.
Neither Miovski, Chermiti or Danilo have ever been that prolific.
That doesn't include the facts that every chance doesn't fall to a striker.
Or the fact that the opposition also miss chances.
You are right though about one thing - the defence needs to play its part.
