Good post MP and have to agree. Yes he's overlooked the defence it seems and the delay in defensive player sales is most likely been part of the issue but clearly he's well over engineering the game. I can't remember a time when we've given so many chances away and created so few chances against SPL opposition. And it isn't getting better.
The silver lining on what could be a dreadful week is that by this time next week, RM has been removed.

So given that every manager has underestimated and doesn't understand the Scottish game who on earth do we get as a manager who does. does this restrict the list of candidates to managers currently at Scottish clubs and Gerrard. that is a fairly limited list of candidates and I can't see any of them being universally accepted by the fans. the word yesterday on here was that all the managers being spoken about/ to were available so cross out any who are currently in a job?

I'm originally fae the Milton nestled between spam valley, Springburn and Ruchill. Grew up watching stolen Ford cosworths chased along Torogay Street.
Aye, I can't see Martin still being in a job next week. He's shown a lack of understanding of what his words carry in this job. He doesn't have anyone else to blame and it's not even September yet.
Like many others I don't have an answer on who to bring in, but managers who've shown they can win during successful rebuilds, or in leagues with high pressure jobs. There's coaches in our Scottish lower divisions who understand how to organise a defence and set plays so RM has no excuses. The teams we've played so far have high turnover of squad too - they do every season - but don't use that as an excuse.
RM talked last week about ego. The biggest ego issue I've seen this season is his.
Gerrard wasn't perfect and threw the dummy in. It's a ridiculous time to be looking for a new manager. He might well be the best we can get just now to steady things and get us organised again. Not ideal.
Back in the day people weren't happy with Big Eck being appointed after wee Dick. Not sexy enough.
Do we honestly think that McInnes, Robinson, Grey, Goodwin would have done worse than RM?
We need to stop hovering when obviously good young Scottish players are available to help us too. Ferguson, Lennon, Johnston, Doig, Hickey, Mulligan - even guys like McKenna know what the leagues about. They might not want to come buy at least make a play.

Mcinnes u think would win the league with us i reckon he could build a team to win it he's never had the proper funds and facilities at his disposal and always done a good job

I quite like the job the sy mirren manager Robinson is doing tbh. Ideal for the league. Europe a diff kettle a fish. Watched pre game interview and he comes across well. Players love him also. Also stayed he wants to manage at the top. Wouldn't be any worse than Russell fartin.

Because a manager has not done it in Scotland he cannot ever do it here, McInnis has done nothing here and if you say he had money be different, what has he done anywhere cannot even challenge third spot.
A good manager can manage anywhere, more with adapting tactics game by game and not just doing it one way, why a squad is important to allow different styles of players to play different types of games.
Scottish football is not complex or very good either out with the old firm.

A bit left field but I'd said before to try and get Billy Reid away from West Ham but I doubt he'd go for it.
Risky aye, but can't think of many others apart from retired managers or ones that plainly aren't good enough.

Agree Robinson far more suited to the Scotish game. With his style of play, motivation of players, in my opinion wouldn't have dropped points in first league games this season.
