Time for biggest ego at club to admit his tactics are not working.
it plain to see except for him, it was proven at his last club but not man enough to admit it and look to stop playing players out of position.
But you also have to question what Therwell is doing, thought job of DOF was to set playing structure for club and Coach was there to implement it meant if we changed coach for any reason the style would still be in place.

Sorry don't agree at this stage after not a lot of competitive football, will be in the coming weeks before the team starts to take shape with his own players, plenty of time to judge him then and after.
Until that point he should be looking to maximise what he has so you may see some alterations in the system.
Martin and Thelwell will be given time even if we go out of the Champions league, I always thought this would be a tough ask at this point and trying to integrate new players with ones that were here last season.
Optimistic we can get through this tie first.

Gers I imagine the coach is playing a version of the system which the club were looking for when they hired him. I think the DoF like everyone else at the club will realsie this takes a while to get right. Fans think they know better and that 3 games is enough.
BTW he got Southampton promoted to the EPL playing the same system.
also owners of the clubs he has managed have said publicly that he did great things at their club and put structures in place whicha re still in place. everyone says he is a very good man manager. does that sound like someone with a big ego.

I really couldn't care if reluctantly got behind him as i was the same Asathor, but he will have my backing, you will never hear me saying he's not the man for the job after a few games or before he gets to put his stamp on it, I'm only seeing that as craziness, I genuinely believe that some fans that didn't what him appointed will hope he fails so they can say I was correct, everyone just try supporting our players and club and see where that takes us, this constantly sacking manager will never bring us any constant success.

Asa please don't take this badly as it isn't meant with any malice. I know you will be aware that you are just a fan of this club like the rest of us. It doesn't really matter whether you are behind it or not as the owners made the decision and obviously are. Until they'd decide otherwise we will have the management team we have. You might be in a position to let those owners know your opinions so again respectfully I would say do that if you want change more quickly. if you do I would be happy, as would most fans on here, to be told how that conversation went. that might inform us as to what the planning is on this but I suspect they are in it for the long haul.
All fans need to realise that this isn't going to be a short sharp fix and it is going to take a bit of time to get us back to where we want to be. we weren't patient enough with Clement and Gio and the only difference now as I see it is that we have owners with the financial backing and acumen to take us forward.

So we've given him 1 league game and toys are in between wetters are out again. We've had a huge turnover of managers lately partly because of the board making mistakes but also because of an impatient fan base some of it toxic. Keep the faith other clubs he's managed have been here and got better and said the first part makes you want to pull your eyes out but it comes good.

Rm was 100% within his rights to call players out, his tactics don't stand much of a chance if people don't do what they are told.
imo he doesn't have a big ego and has always been very humble, he was hired to play a style of football he believes in. He's not going to change that after one bad result.

My star and Angus can I just reaffirm that for the moment I am 100% behind the manager and the team.
I have disliked the managers interactions with the media and the system so far has been horrendous, this does not mean I am advocating or supportive of change at this time.
What does concern me is the "leadership group" that the manager mentioned were all on my list and the list of many to be priority to sell.

Everyone has been shouting about having no style of play for the last however many years. First guy to try someting different is getting it in neck after 1 league game. Away to a decent side as well (took plenty points off us last year too) .
Remember we've got antman, moore, aasgard and potentially a striker and left back to add to this team it might take some more time but we need to stick with it. Looking forward to the match tonight to see the reaction!

He is changing the system in terms of inverted fullbacks, higher defensive line and centre mids pushing higher and wider. This will take time in terms of the existing players changing from what they have done over the last few seasons and new guys fitting into the team. Clearly we are still struggling with this and whilst the team are adjusting and learning the system they will make mistakes and revert to what they have done previously. Whilst we are transitioning the minimum expectation is that they graft and work hard and run for each.

Ass don't you think 3 matches isn't enough time to make that judgement from rm perspective? I was soo disappointed on sat but as a fan I wanted a style of play and the new guy is trying to implement one and with more players he has more og a chance of it working.

What would we be saying if he went with a system that's he's not comfortable with to suit players that have proved over time that are not of a level to challenge them.
Then once he brings in more of his own players revert back to his own system a few months down the line? That was never going to happen, said before he can make subtle changes for the time being to suit the likes of Raskin like bringing him closer to Rothwell, I noticed on Saturday that he did tweak things at the start Aaron's stayed in his full back shape more rather than going into midfield, for me it's getting the players that are adaptable and can play this way and that will take a wee bit of time, you are seeing some of the old guard not that comfortable being really brave on the ball in tight areas.

Asa as a fan have that opinion. what I have said is it doesn't matter whether as fans we want change or not it will be the owners who make that decision. you aren't just a fan though you are part of the investment group (owners? ) of the club so potentially have more of a clue than the rest of the fan base.
Just a question though would you expect one of the investment group in a club to be publicly questioning the decisions that the investment group has made.

Asa. his media appearances and statements have not been horrendous as you put it. Quite measured and sensible. He, the fans want to win. He doesn't want sacked again because players don't follow instructions!
And Asa, as for the leadership group, they will obviously be the mature players who have been around a bit. still need gone though. Not unusual.
