Must admit I may have a fractured rib on first day of my official holiday from my main job.
But for once given me an excuse to do nothing but sit and read all week in the garden. And enjoys nice food and wine along with this cracking weather
Otherwise I would have been out working 2nd job along with trying to work in garden and house etc
First time in a long time I've stopped and just enjoyed sitting out in nice weather ?
Could get used to it ?.

Stig I love the garden. Funny thing is though I can't just go out and sit in the garden. As soon as I try to sit and relax I see something that needs attention and I have to sort it. I enjoy the outdoors and keep my garden in full colour as long as I can. My wife sits out for hours and enjoys all my hard work but I just can't.

Take it easy stig. I cracked 3 ribs last year with a chest infection thrown. Another poster had the same and the pain was awful. So relax mate, painkillers and rest is all you can do.

Mark weather has been unreal like you say just enjoying it while I can
The colonel I love whisky but just saying to my wife earlier it has a Gin feeling to it this weekend. Possibly some cocktails ?
JFM couldn't put it better myself mate me and you would get on well mate I'm exactly the same that's why having this injury has made me just sit as I can't bend or pick things up etc but usually I'm the exact same as you have to be working on it doing something growing something re planting etc etc
I started to grow my own vegetables a couple years ago and have really taken to it absolutely love it and the kids love it when it's time to harvest
New pollytunel sitting waiting to be put up which was my job I was going to do this week however will need to wait now ? so looking forward to getting it up too

Parlane that was me with chest infection and broken ribs, the paid was unbelievable was on co codamol and tramadol, hopefully you get better soon sti I certainly don't envy you.

Thestigo, one thing you need to watch with cracked ribs is when you think they are better. One wrong move and you are back to square one mate.
I got two cracked ribs and a few other injuries in Partick after the last helicopter Sunday. I was so drunk I couldn't even pick my nose, never mind a fight and two guys from the other side stood in front of me and I said "make it quick" next I knew I was in the Western Inf.

Stig, Me2. It was last year guys, but I sympathise with anyone who goes through that. I've got a high pain threshold, but I was terrified to cough. So you take it easy stig and I'm glad you survived Me2.

Stig, you'll love that polytunnel.
We got ours 5/6 years ago. I think it's something like 30FT x 16FT.
It's quite tricky to put up. You'll have to dig a trench down both sides to put the cover on.
P.S the slugs will love it too.

Take it easy with that rib Stig. The polytunnel can wait. I don't even have room for a greenhouse, never mind a polytunnel. I like growing my edible stuff as well but my favourite is flowers. The more colour the better. Take it easy and enjoy the rest.
