Gary Rowett saying Zak Lovelace taking a backward step moving to us, what is it with these managers down south, first bowyer now rowett. It works both ways we lost Wilson to Villa will he be anywhere near their first team this year no chance he will play in the u23 prem league which is a joke. We lost Gilmour our best prospect in years so why can't we take the best English talent if they are willing to come. I hope our youth recruitment drive is a sign of a better pathway and opportunities for young players to be in first team squad.

I think we should have more youth players part of the squad. Lowry, King and Devine this year being more part of the squad and hope that some of these boys we have signed in this window will make the squad in a couple of years time.

Who out our youth signings this window, do we think has the best chances to make the first team in the coming years?

Said that about aribo as well look how that worked out he improved 100 per cent with us Scottish premier might not be best league but will bring him on physically it’s fast and physically demanding.

Miller only reason Rowett and guy at Charlton don’t want players coming to Scotland is money

We get cross border deal, they want the million they get fro the clubs in England, yet happy to take our kids on the cheep deals.

Absolutely John - honestly they have some brass neck on them down there ?.

5.) 09 Jul 2022 10:42:35
Did he not say backwards step joing our b team.

6.) 09 Jul 2022 10:47:33
Some will make it but in reality not many will.

100% John they don’t like us taking the talent north! I find when it’s the opposite it the a “great career move” ? jokers! Really hope Lovelace does as well as Joe and Bassey.

Haven’t read what Rowett actually said but he’s probably right about Lovelace. He could have become a regular in the Millwall first 11 playing in the championship this season if he stayed but he is joining our b team to play in the lowland league. I posted on here after he signed if we thought he could be first team for us. I think there is every chance he could be featuring first team this season, cup games for example. Bigger picture, this is a massive move to a far bigger club than Millwall and long term this kid could become a star. I could see him being our Jude Bellingham, starts to feature at young age and by 20 he’ll be playing top league in Europe having made us and himself a stack of money.

If that's Tom Lawrence signed and his preferred position is left wing does that end our interest (if there was any) in Theo Bongonda? I believe Theo Bobgonda plays left wing

I do think we still need a RW

I spoke to a big Sunderland fan last night and he raved about Ross Stewart he reckons he could easily be a very good player in championship. Is he worth signing if Morelos doesn't sign a contract? Don't see us signing him if Morelos extends his contract.

Kent is moving to right is my guess!

2.) 08 Jul 2022 07:47:38
Yes I think bongonda and Stewart r over now.

3.) 08 Jul 2022 07:55:33
Someone else on here mentioned that too. I guess we might get a clue in the Sunderland game as to where Kent will play.

4.) 08 Jul 2022 07:57:55
Tam Lawrence may prefer playing on the left flank but is capable of playing in any forward positions and operated as a no 10 in numerous occasions with the rams.

5.) 08 Jul 2022 08:06:26
Kent should ultimately move position to accommodate a goal scoring wide man being in his preferred slot to provide a threat, kent is going to get past his man regardless of which side he is on, unfortunately he doesn’t score a lot of goals, wide right for kent please.

6.) 08 Jul 2022 09:04:39
A few folk have mentioned Kent on the right. Could be a masterstroke and see his attempts on goal increase massively. If he cuts inside will just create even more space for Tav for the overlap. Quite an exciting prospect.

Be interesting to see who starts to shine from youth as some very talented youth players.
