I see Gary Rowett spouting bull about Lovelace taking a step backwards joining Rangers. I remember the charlton manager saying The same when we signed Aribo. Then he wins a league title, a Scottish cup, scores a goal in a European final, plays in front of 54000 fans every other weekend and get a move to a premiership team. How’s that taking a step backwards? Honestly some of these managers down south should hear the nonsense that comes out their mouths. For guys that are are supposed to be clever they don’t have come out with some stupid statements at times. I mean who are Millwall? Step backwards my back side.

Alloager I said something similar in an earlier post it goes both ways we have lost Wilson and Gilmor when we could have given them first team football.

What i'd love to know is who from our glut of youth signings is the one who will make the biggest impact in the next few years?

Pollard
Lovelace
Rice
Stevens
Bell

Who is the pick of the bunch, I’m excited to see if we can bring through 3-5 players playing in our first 11 in the next 3 years or so.

Be interesting to see who starts to shine from youth as some very talented youth players.

I've high hopes for Bailey rice and Zak lovelace. Don't make your pro debut at 15 if your not a huge talent.

To be fair I don't think it was a criticism of Rangers in particular on this occasion if you read what was said. Most was frustration over cross border compensation after years of development to get practically nothing. Rangers really takinh advantage this year tho we lost out with wilson. Works both ways. And he is taking a step back because he was on fringes of 1st team to go to our academy team. A step back but onto bigger and better hopefully.
