I'm wondering if any of the eds - ED02 in particular - have any rumours on who we might be targeting in January. even some pre-contract news would be great. Many thanks in advance.

TrueBlue85

{Ed002's Note - Not much. Lyndon Dykes (S) Rangers are keen to sign LD and could make a January offer. QPR may be open to a sale.}

1.) 04 Jan 2023 12:51:51
Thanks for the info Ed. you've just ruined my 2023!

2.) 04 Jan 2023 13:24:31
It's funny how both gerrard, beale and ally mccoist also all would like lyndon dykes at rangers and rate him but some on here are adamant he's absolute dross, i know who i prefer to believe ?.

3.) 04 Jan 2023 13:32:04
Well Walter u follow a club that now choose to be average

I don’t recall Mcoist or Gerrard making an offer for dykes.
To my knowledge beale also has not made an offer unless u can tell us differently.

4.) 04 Jan 2023 13:57:38
None of those made an offer for him. Beale may and if he does it will be a disaster.

5.) 04 Jan 2023 14:05:15
Lol love it some people don't want dykes but if he joins they be 1st off there seat if he scores.

6.) 04 Jan 2023 14:05:52
Dykes is not the greatest most skilled player on earth but I believe he would score a load with us especially the way we put balls in the box Dykes would have converted one of the crosses against them especially the one Morelos put over the bar, he told a strong in the air and will fight to get on the end of a cross.

7.) 04 Jan 2023 14:09:45
If Gerrard really rated him that highly he would be playing for us already.

We need much better than that.

From a Euro final to being linked with QPR dregs. My lord.

8.) 04 Jan 2023 14:20:46
When did sg say he rated him? Why not bid for him? ??. ally signed some shockers when manager right enough.

9.) 04 Jan 2023 14:24:57
No need for a player like Dykes imo. Weve Colak and he should be our starter 100% atm. If and its a big IF, we can get both Roofe injury free and Morelos fit then we are fine in that department. We need Wingers and Centre Mids.

10.) 04 Jan 2023 14:32:00
FFS here we go again with Walter and dykes ??‍♂️.

11.) 04 Jan 2023 14:46:39
I don't think we will be signing him, but if Beale does it will only mean he thinks he will improve our team.

12.) 04 Jan 2023 14:48:36
Why pay for dykes when u can get Stuart and or mcburnie for heehaw in the summer.

13.) 04 Jan 2023 14:59:41
Watched the QPR v Sheff utd the other night, he was an absolute physical pest to their back 3 and bossed them all night. His hold up play and link with midfield and wingers was brilliant, he got MOTM. He is often rash in front of goal and not blessed with blistering pace but as a poacher and aerial presence he would add to us a dimension that Roofe or Alfie don’t have, he wins you yards with his hold up play and gets his fair share of free kicks by leading the line. If we could sort our right side out, this guy would score a bucket load in the middle, with Kent on his left supplying.

14.) 04 Jan 2023 15:14:09
I'll tell you something and although i've always liked and rated alfie if dykes had those 2 headers that alfie missed against celtic on monday there they'd be in the back of their net and game over ?.

15.) 04 Jan 2023 15:18:16
John27 just like i told you guys on here all along about beale and he was to be our next manager ? All these guys on here ie won't happen don't want him and now they're warming to him and rating him ?I'm not saying we're signing dykes i'm stating he's rated by others and could do a job for us that's all mate ? If beale wants him then i trust beale 100%???.

16.) 04 Jan 2023 15:28:16
How long you going to be dining out on that one Coops ? you picked the bookies favourite and got it right.

17.) 04 Jan 2023 15:30:51
Walter every paper had it as well still waiting Thomson Joining him

Whose rating him, not everyone, dreadful substitutions cost us a win.

18.) 04 Jan 2023 14:23:04
Football is all about opinions. Personally I don't think he's good enough (he's no better than what we have at the moment imo) and his price tag/ salary would allow for a better signing.

If we do sign him I'd be absolutely delighted to be wrong though.

Cheers ED02 for the scoop.

19.) 04 Jan 2023 15:35:03
In regards to dykes I’m on the fence
What I will say the chance Morelos put over the bar
Against them big colak would have burst the net.

20.) 04 Jan 2023 15:56:05
Ally McCoist can’t coach, nor can he spot a player. This is the guy who brought us Kevin Kyle, Ian Black, and Jon Daly with both knees completely gone. If Ally rates him that is a red flag right there.

21.) 04 Jan 2023 16:01:36
Here here StuMunroloyal ???.

22.) 04 Jan 2023 16:00:11
Give it a rest John27 i could say the same about you when media has a lot of stories that you spout mate but i give you credit why don't you give some back pal.

23.) 04 Jan 2023 16:17:34
Walter I’ve never bragged way u did.
Please list some off the signings refer to
I post very limited info now.

24.) 04 Jan 2023 16:35:28
I would take Dykes tomorrow, can be a handful at times, I don't think he'd start every wk but he would offer a different option against hard to break down teams. He puts a shift In for the team and I think he'd score goals.

25.) 04 Jan 2023 16:57:30
Getting back to the point - Dykes.

I'd happily have him, so long as he wasn't our main striker.

Feels very much like a 'Plan B' player to me - that said, I imagine that the salary he's on at QPR would price him out of that type of role with us.

26.) 04 Jan 2023 17:01:31
I missed last bit. I give credit where credit is due.
Go look at seeker ph mark beale and many many on

I even credit u on majority of posts. Only once I recall giving u serious stick when Ed called u out.

27.) 04 Jan 2023 17:52:49
Yeah honestly dykes would do a job n fit into our team nicely we need another nuisance in the box that can hold up Dykes would do that nicley ; he would be a good tool too have in our box

Him n colac could be a leathal combo.

28.) 04 Jan 2023 18:00:08
Gvb niether Stewart or mcburnie r frees, their clubs both have option to extend by a year.

29.) 04 Jan 2023 18:19:29
Ehl, dykes is on under 8k at qpr. So if we want him I don’t think wages would be an issue.

30.) 04 Jan 2023 18:23:01
On dykes I don't see the point he's not mobile enough watch his livi goals nearly every one is a tap in we already have that instinct player in colak I like he's good in the air and is physical but he'd be a third choice nothing more.

31.) 04 Jan 2023 18:24:02
Don’t believe Mcburnue type of character want at Ibrox, also not very good.

32.) 04 Jan 2023 18:35:14
John Info he get majority of it isn’t in the news/ media tho coops so don’t know why you are trying to have a go at him for basically telling you the facts that you told everyone on here the bookies/ media fav was going to get the job and Kevin Thomson was coming too.

33.) 04 Jan 2023 18:39:46
Agreed about mccoist verdant. Mccoist saw it fir to give Kevin kyle and Ian black over 8 grand a week in div3 rather than develop our youngsters at the time. Pathetic.

34.) 04 Jan 2023 19:11:13
Agree tj although majority our youngsters were terrible, however we could have pick up other lads from lower leagues who would have done better, we may just have found a couple of gems.

35.) 04 Jan 2023 19:12:33
It should never be forgotten that Ally Mccoist took Rangers for a ride in our time of need. 850k a year for 3 years to manage in the Scottish lower leagues. I'm surprised how quickly fans have forgotten this action. He was on double what Neil lennon was on at celtic at the time and he was winning the spfl and getting his team into the CL while Ally was struggling against Stirling Albion and the likes.

36.) 04 Jan 2023 19:13:50
I think Dykes would score more league goals than Morelos every has in any season if he signed. The cross balls that come into the box are his bread and butter.

37.) 04 Jan 2023 19:43:39
I wouldn’t mind Dykes. He is a form player though, sometimes great and sometimes poor. Very physical, good finisher, not blistering but quite a bit quicker than Morelos.

38.) 04 Jan 2023 20:08:43
The boy's a goal scoring player exactly what we need, he's bullied defences n scored crucial goals for livi, and doing the same down there, he would be a accet too have, we need depth in our team
As a sub, or first team regular Dykes will bang them in for us.

39.) 04 Jan 2023 21:16:45
Dykes would batter the centre halfs in this league, he's quicker than Morelos, better first touch, not as torn faced as Morelos and would run through brick walls also doesn't have a head like a biscuit tin to nut things 10 yards off target . McCoist has said he likes him and Beale obviously does because he consistently picked him . the guy has a confident attitude and his head won't ever go down. sign him.

40.) 04 Jan 2023 21:32:44
Let's look at the youngsters from memory we let go in the last 10 years since ally had the job. Greg Taylor, Lewis Ferguson, Blair Spittal (prospect at the time), telfer (prospect at the time), mccabe (prospect at the time), hemming, Perry. All good prospects at the time, not ferguson obviously, that would've cantered that league. But we brought in dross which let to 2 years in the championship. Its ubforgivable.

41.) 04 Jan 2023 21:33:30
The only think that excites me about Dykes is his strength and heading ability. With Barisic and Tavernier putting balls in the box Dykes would get on the end of them. He might be very effective at holding off CCV as well.

42.) 04 Jan 2023 22:12:05
Don’t often agree with you sweep but your spot on about Mcoist…. Left a sour taste when he refused to back green until he was given 500k in shares .
Then his tune changed dramatically.
Will admit though he is a supporter. but a supporter of money more methinks lol.

43.) 04 Jan 2023 22:35:58
Cedric Itten has more ability than Dykes and nobody wanted him at Rangers.

44.) 04 Jan 2023 22:45:02
Tjrfc let's not forget playing andy robertson 4 times and missing him.

45.) 04 Jan 2023 23:11:24
Dykes is exactly the type of player 2 10s could play off. He’s not always pleasing on the eye but his hold up play for runners beyond and his threat with balls being flung into the box would be a threat in every SPL game.
Morelos needs moved on and as a club we have to move on.

46.) 05 Jan 2023 01:05:58
Only thing I can say about Ally as a manager is he was getting more money per year than Jürgen Klopp, who was taking Dortmund to the CL final while Ally was taking us for a ride. Great commentator and communicator and one of us but never a manager.

47.) 05 Jan 2023 01:24:10
I’m with Sir Walter on this one

I honestly think dykes could be a very good player for us especially in SPFL
He would get plenty of chances with us to score goals and I think he would score more than his fair share of chances
Itten is no where near as good as dykes sorry not sure why you would even think that nothing to back it up with at all.

itten was a disaster start to finish and we all called it first time we seen him play

Dykes is a much better all round player daft to think otherwise.

He’s also doing not to bad at international level having scored 8 goals in 26 appearances

Think if we can get him I would definitely give him a chance will give 100% that’s for sure ?.

48.) 05 Jan 2023 02:35:24
Does anyone know anything about this Chris willock from QPR rumour looks like a great wee player if we can get him.

49.) 05 Jan 2023 07:48:57
Very good post Scotty 123?Now we're talking ? Somebody who understands football and the way 2 no.10's could play off someone like big dykes ?
Good post also Thestigno1 ? Totally agree mate ?.

50.) 05 Jan 2023 10:53:11
Understand football but play a centre forward who scores less to set up a number 10 that barely gets five goals a season ?.

51.) 05 Jan 2023 11:44:35
I love coming on here and listening to everyone with great football knowledge and a sustain for the club they claim to love! Slating ally because he said he likes a player? The signings ally made were made when we had pennies! Am I right Ed in saying ally either put some of his own money into the club or deferred wages for some time? He took that job when no one would, knowing full well it would tarnish him with the fans. I’m not saying he’s a good, great or brilliant coach but you should all hang your heads in shame.
And as for the ‘colak would have buried those chances’ rubbish… he missed a header from aboutv4 yards out in an old firm game aswell so we don’t know if he would have put them away. But he’s injured so it doesn’t really matter.

And people can not like dykes; that’s they’re perogative, but u can't say he would not improve our team. If he is excelling in a worse team, in a better league, then he is doing something right. And I’m sure you’ve all done your coaching badges and your all tactical masterminds, but try looking at things objectively. I personally want better than dykes, but he would still improve our team.

{Ed001's Note - seriously? Ally took the job because he was paid an obscene amount of money and he got paid off in shares to say what they wanted him to say. There were plenty of others who would have taken the job, but none of them would have appeased the fans, so they bought his backing with a big fat pay cheque. He is a nice guy but he does like the money. There is nothing wrong with that, he came from a time when footballers didn't earn enough money to be truly set for life, so it no doubt has affected his thinking.}

52.) 05 Jan 2023 14:54:57
Easy tiger I totally take your point of mccoist had a tough job to do with money and all background stuff but didn't help himself sometimes either. I still remember being at that first season we won lowest division.

Last game of season title already won mccoist plays a defensive formation and doesn't give any youth a proper chance totally negative.
Also seem to remember Kevin Kyle himself saying he went in and just asked for crazy money expecting to get knocked back and have to negotiate and mccoist just accepted straight away. Even though mccoist himself knows how it's done when he talks about renewing his own contract under David Murray.

53.) 05 Jan 2023 14:58:12
Still think most hard done to manager in our time since relegated to bottom division was Stuart McCall he had to take over a team that was struggling to beat hearts to title didn't even get a transfer window and he was willing to give youth a chance. He got bad defeat by Motherwell in play offs and those playoffs are mega slanted in favour of prem team and still are.

54.) 05 Jan 2023 16:31:58
Rangers interested in Dykes but he's not interested in Rangers.

More likely Shankland coming in, Porteous as good as signed and Liam Kelly in the summer.

55.) 05 Jan 2023 22:53:58
I’m still waiting on the 3 signings John promised us on the last day of the transfer window Walter. You must know by now he’s the only one who’s allowed to over a rumour.

56.) 05 Jan 2023 23:17:52
Rather we tried for Ross Stewart.

21 Jul 2022 18:16:00
Captain Tav new deal until 2026 apparently. Didn't see that one coming.

TrueBlue85

1.) 21 Jul 2022 18:37:22
F*****g superb ???.

2.) 21 Jul 2022 19:15:20
Would love a triple announcement on Monday Alf, Tav and Kent.

3.) 21 Jul 2022 21:23:28
Wont happen cooper mate.
2 don't want to stay, only my opinion mind.
We have money, they don't want it obviously.
Move on, guys and thank you for your efforts.

4.) 21 Jul 2022 22:19:00
I personally think both kent and morelos will sign contract extensions BAR72, only my opinion mate ?.

5.) 21 Jul 2022 22:31:04
Don’t be so defeatist Bar. Still think there is every chance they’ll sign. ?.

6.) 21 Jul 2022 22:34:34
Bar at present they want more than we r prepared to pay
Kent has done very very well out off us.

18 Jul 2022 08:40:42
I was reading the European rumours site and it seems Ed02 is in the know.

I'm not sure if you follow Scottish football, but was wondering if you would be kind enough to share any updates you might have on our great club please? Do you know if there's anyone in particular we are scouting or discussions underway? Any insight would be really appreciated and would give poor John25 a break from all out questions :-)

Thanks in advance Ed.

TrueBlue85

{Ed002's Note - I think the only major departure to be worried about now would be Ryan Kent who could leave. As for additions, Davies and Tillman have replaced Bassey and Aribo. Rangers have missed out on Jed Wallace and Lyndon Dykes but have added others to match the departures of Itten, Wilson, Mayo and Balogun. Most business appears to have been done.}

1.) 18 Jul 2022 10:51:50
Were we going to go for Dykes?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

2.) 18 Jul 2022 11:44:47
Well if that’s true I’m concerned ? because that lad is one of the worst international footballers I’ve seen play. Seems like a good lad by all accounts but no no no!

Great at flicking on the ball to nobody!

I’m struggling with this Ed02 that we wanted him. Why did we miss out? He rejected a move? Or club?

{Ed002's Note - I would have to check..}

3.) 18 Jul 2022 11:58:14
So was colak 2nd choice then?
or did we want dykes on top of him
And if so does that mean he wants an extra striker? Will we go for another?

Thanks in advance Ed
Just interested as really didn’t know about Dykes and now hoping we go for an extra striker to cover injuries and give us more options.

{Ed002's Note - I would need to ask.}

4.) 18 Jul 2022 12:26:05
Thank feck we didn’t get Dykes then no where near good enough.

5.) 18 Jul 2022 12:50:54
Thanks for the response Ed. Was hoping you were going to tell us we have a mind blowing deal in the pipeline! Maybe next year. Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - If anything comes up I will post it.}

6.) 18 Jul 2022 12:50:57
Thats grim if its true.

7.) 18 Jul 2022 13:45:59
Sorry if I’ve replied to this twice. I thought we would need a left back as I’ve read whilst Davies can play left back he’s not comfortable there. I would have thought we’d have wanted an upgrade on barasic or at least someone to challenge him as he’s inconsistent.

8.) 18 Jul 2022 13:55:29
there are plenty on this site who have got everything bang on and not mentioned a Dykes move, I'd assume that's complete nonsense he's awful.

9.) 18 Jul 2022 14:30:41
When I would agree but ed02 has great inside knowledge in the world of football and is there any need to bad mouth him.

10.) 18 Jul 2022 14:55:49
storm why is saying its nonsense bad mouthing him, he is only posting his opinion, i don't think myself we went for dykes i would be very surprised if we did.

{Ed001's Note - it is not an opinion Ed002 is giving, it is information.}

11.) 18 Jul 2022 15:14:53
ed001,i was replying regarding whens comment as being his opinion not ed002s.

{Ed001's Note - ah ok.}

12.) 18 jul 2022 15:25:15
you were correct coops rangers did want dykes’,

13.) 18 Jul 2022 15:49:37
When was bad mouthing Ed’s knowledge that’s why I said what I said.

14.) 18 Jul 2022 15:50:14
True that’s actually how I read it.

15.) ed thanks for your info, very interesting,

16.) 18 Jul 2022 17:31:18
Worrying for me that we should want Dykes. If there is a footballer there I have yet to see it!

17.) 18 Jul 2022 17:37:08
Everyone is entitled to post a rumour, information, it’s for people to read into it the value.

18.) 18 Jul 2022 18:21:40
I think Dykes would look smashing in a Rangers strip but i don't think he would score many goals wearing it right enough judging by his Scotland performances.

10 Jul 2022 09:39:34
Has anyone heard anymore on Dylan Reid? Just read that THEY have had a bid accepted.

I'm sure someone on here said he's a bear - hopefully he makes the right call.

TrueBlue85

1.) 10 Jul 2022 10:17:14
We’ve not made an offer from him yet but we are interested. Hopefully them making a bid forces us to make one.

2.) 10 Jul 2022 10:28:48
Apparently his family are bears but that doesn’t always matter.
Hopefully he joins the many quality young players coming in.
Hopefully a sign of the way things are going that quality youth players want to join us.

3.) 10 Jul 2022 11:14:09
Celtic have made a bid of £125k for the boy. It hasn’t been accepted or rejected yet, we have an interest but haven’t submitted a bid atm not sure we will either.

4.) 10 Jul 2022 11:38:10
We have had a few bids knocked back Copland Celtic have had theirs accepted.

5.) 10 Jul 2022 12:42:18
Its not a lot of money so we need to match their bid and let the boy choose . If he chooses them, then so be it.

Interesting to see the buzz around Man Utd making the last 16 of the Europa League. ETH is being hailed as a genius (rightly so imo) . but it made me think about us making the 2022 final.

We were down and out and made it all the way back to the top! Teams like Man U can spend £150m every year on new players. Our Board have invested, they have supported managers and they given us fans something to be proud of.

TrueBlue85

1.) 24 Feb 2023 09:54:12
Man Utd have achieved little or nothing since Alex Ferguson left given their spending power. Reaching the last 16 of the Europa League against a Barcelona team that is a shadow of its former self is no big deal. As you say, our achievement in reaching the Europa final last year was fantastic given where we'd been. I still think about that penalty shoot out in Seville and Aaron Ramsey's miss!

2.) 24 Feb 2023 10:16:01
Man Utd are playing in a league where everyone spends 10’s of millions each season. It’s an unbelievably tough league, look how far off it Liverpool are after two or three great seasons it’s relentless. Our europa league run was fantastic and I enjoyed being in Seville to witness how close we were to winning it. I think Michael Beal is doing a great job of getting players to play somewhere near their true potential, here’s hoping he can pull it off on Sunday as the other mob are also in great form.

3.) 24 Feb 2023 10:19:29
Agreed TrueBlue. It’s one of those things that at the time we were just all gutted not to win it but in the years to come, looking back on it, it really was a tremendous feet for: 1) a club that plays in Scotland, in a league that is of very poor quality overall and generates very little income for its clubs, AND 2) with us having had to build back up from scratch in under ten years to reach (and almost win) the final of a European competition. It’s pretty unbelievable when you take all things into consideration. Even at the time around the final I remember laughing that media platforms such as BT in their commentary kept saying ‘Rangers in a European final for the first time since 2008’, as if that had been a long time or something?!? I mean a Scottish team being in a European final twice within 14 years (especially considering we’d been demoted and pretty much had to start again within that time) is an unbelievable achievement. To me they should of been saying things like ‘Rangers, yet again reaching a European final, having done so only just back in 2008’!
Don’t think other countries and pundits from those countries understand just how financially restrictive playing in Scotland really is. Think there is a little bit of the “let them eat cake” train of thought when it comes to their understanding of our position.

4.) 24 Feb 2023 10:25:33
Chelsea spent over £300 Million in January. Puts things in perspective.

5.) 24 Feb 2023 10:50:36
Ryan Kents miss right at the death haunts me Doiger.

6.) 24 Feb 2023 10:59:47
God, I'd forgotten about that Gregory!

7.) 24 Feb 2023 11:02:12
Great post Gers1978.

8.) 24 Feb 2023 12:02:08
Gregory don't let it bother you to much the ball was out.

9.) 24 Feb 2023 13:05:28
Paul the whole ball was not out Paul.

10.) 24 Feb 2023 13:27:32
We will never know john. Makes me sleep a little easier at night thinking it was though ??.

11.) 24 Feb 2023 13:28:45
Chelsea have spent £500 million to add players to their already expensive squad and could not score or beat Dortmund away which puts into perspective what we achieved last season .

12.) 24 Feb 2023 13:38:05
Ball wasnt out.

13.) 24 Feb 2023 14:00:45
Paul cool but bt proved it was not out I’m afraid.

I don’t want to be a pedant, but were Ryan Kent’s late shot and Arron Ramsay’s penalty not both good saves by the keeper rather than misses? It is an important distinction in preparing mentally for games, do the players operate in a culture of praise or punishment!

15.) 24 Feb 2023 15:03:08
Still an amazing achievement by Rangers to get so close to winning the Europa League on such a restricted transfer budget.
Aribo scored playing out of position, but the outcome could have been so different if we had a recognised striker available.

16.) 24 Feb 2023 15:04:22
Will go down as a sitter not a good save. But can't a lot of it down to exhaustion in that heat.

17.) 24 Feb 2023 15:05:57
Davie cooper correct, good saves.

18.) 24 Feb 2023 16:10:18
A would say good saves. Brilliant post trueblue was honestly thinking the exact same thing watching that last night. So definitely goes to show how far we've came and how much of an amazing achievement it was for us to go on that brilliant run to the final never felt prouder to be a rangers fan the memories will be with us forever. Here's a question is there a team that has got to a European final on a smaller budget than ours? I don't think there is but could be wrong though.

19.) 24 Feb 2023 16:13:04
The ball wasn’t out.

20.) 24 feb 2023 16:20:11
sorry . for me the pen was pathetic and kent should have buried the ball and the keeper

i have never watched the game again so i might be wrong,

daviecooper, players don't get they're motivation on here,

21.) 24 Feb 2023 16:37:35
I don’t think the Kent chance was a ‘sitter’ but it was certainly a good chance to win a European Final. These margins are horrible. A few months ago I lost my best mate who was a huge bear and only in his early 50s. I’m gutted that he didn’t get to experience in his life Rangers winning a game of that magnitude. He’d have been over the moon. Maybe no one on here will (72 aside) but you always live in hope.

22.) 24 Feb 2023 17:27:47
I'll never watch the final again buy the Kent miss is still causing me nightmares let's hope he writes a new chapter on Sunday and if he does I'll forgive him for seville.

23.) 24 Feb 2023 18:34:08
Tomthumb I don’t claim players get motivation from this forum. The forum is representative of the views of some rangers supporters and it exists in a Scottish and football culture where ridicule, criticism, shaming, finger pointing, and insults are par for the course. I am not criticising you, however your choice of the word pathetic to describe the penalty attempt is an example of criticism that has no positive impact on anyone receiving it. It is all about opinions so I respect your right to posit your opinion in any way you choose that is civil. My point is I believe our culture and environment, that is often on display at Ibrox and elsewhere make it harder for players to perform to their best.

24.) 24 feb 2023 19:33:07
ive only played for 30 odds years mate so i wouldn't know

my opinion, the penalty was pathetic.

25.) 24 Feb 2023 20:27:36
Either kent miss and Ramsey pen weren’t great/ good saves Kent miss was right at keepers and I still have nightmares. I said Ramsey was missing the pen before he took I just new had a feeling.

26.) 24 feb 2023 20:59:23
ive had to read all of that again mate, i can honestly say its the strangest I've read on here,

ive no intention of having a positive outcome on ramsay

in fact i rue the day i ever set eyes on him myself, you stick to your good book

he was pathetic.

27.) 24 Feb 2023 23:44:39
Strangest on here! Really? What book would that be? The Arron Ramsay that Juventus signed was outstanding at linking play from defence to attack and could contribute a good goal return from midfield. We knew the guy we were getting was regularly injured and lacked any kind of fitness. The football department thought he was worth a chance and in that judgement we have to trust or change the people making it. I was disappointed in the result but proud of the team in Seville. They tried to win and came within a whisker of doing so.

28.) 25 feb 2023 11:03:31
ramsay was awful from start to finish, am i not making myself clear, awful

and his attempt at a penalty was pathetic, his bittle had gone about 5 mins before he stepped up, then he passed it to the keeper, il stick with my version but i apreciate yours.

Worth a Google or read - Willi Orban (he's a CB that plays for Leipzig) will miss his team's next game and isn't training just now as he's going through a blood stem cell donation. Apparently he's been on the register since 2017. He doesn't know the person he's donating to. Brilliant story. Hopefully his donation works and the person can recover from their sickness.

Looking for some help fellow bears. I'm in Halifax Nova Scotia and wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to watch the game this evening?

TrueBlue85

1.) 09 Aug 2022 10:17:36
Rangers tv is the only place that is broadcasting the game. There might be a Rangers club in Halifax but i'm not sure.

2.) 09 Aug 2022 10:40:30
Reddit soccer streams show any broadcasts from around the world for most major games. Rangers TV are the only ones broadcasting in the UK, but there'll be a Belgian broadcast and probably ESPN and BEIN sports too.

3.) 09 Aug 2022 10:51:21
Just checked and you can also purchase tonight's game on Rangers tv for £9.99.

4.) 09 Aug 2022 12:28:03
Thanks all. Much appreciated. Going to swing by the Scottish bar "The Loose Cannon" and see if they are showing it. That pub could be named after a few on here!

5.) 09 aug 2022 13:51:35
you will probably find it on youtube too mate.

6.) 09 Aug 2022 13:51:45
Great name for a pub xx.

7.) 09 Aug 2022 14:21:16
If you can't find anywhere you will get a link through footybite. to.

8.) 09 Aug 2022 14:36:54
HFX sports bar shows just about everything.

Very interesting to read the debate on potential incoming strikers. I'll be honest. I know pretty much zilch about all of them (not willing to comment on Stewart or others based on highlights or a 45 minute cameo in a friendly) .

All I would say is, trust the process. Big Roy Makaay was a complete monster back in the day and I'm sure whoever we sign has show him something. GVB and his team have also shown an ability to really improve players (Bassey, Lundstram, Alfredo), so even if they were a dud elsewhere we have fantastic coaches who could maybe turn around the players careers.

TrueBlue85

1.) 22 Jul 2022 18:50:47
That's a fair and positive comment ? true blue.

2.) 22 Jul 2022 19:10:31
Very good post Trueblue and spot on. There’s a few names being kicked around, most of which I've never heard of or really don’t fancy but you’re right Gio and the team should be trusted and have already improved players. Long May it continue.

3.) 22 Jul 2022 19:32:08
Agree, Bassey’s development post Gerard was amazing

Roy Makaay was an outstanding centre forward, always knew where the goals were and sure he can identify those traits in any potential striker

Strikers just need games, and confidence,

11 Jul 2022 19:20:38
Villa have signed a new LB on loan. Hopefully that will put to bed all the rumours about Gerrard being desperate to sign Bassey.

TrueBlue85

1.) 12 Jul 2022 01:13:17
Clubs from the Premier League were never after Bassey. All it is is rumours.

2.) 12 Jul 2022 07:00:11
No heard any Bassey rumors for weeks.

3.) 12 Jul 2022 07:37:56
The Pundit is it only rumours that you're a celtic supporter pal? Because you like many have a very obsessive mind in all things the famous glasgow rangers ?In saying that your board members do the exact same at every AGM ie talking continually about the famous glasgow rangers and some of your shareholders actually drew them up about it remember ? It's sad ☹️ and funny at the same time ? Remember and take those rangers curtains down as they've been up for way too long ??.

4.) 12 Jul 2022 07:55:20
That can only good Storm, I hope we don't hear him mentioned apart from on our team sheet.

Yeah but you need to support youth/ potential with some experience - guys who you might be more consistent. Whilst 28 isn't young, on a freebie and after a couple of good seasons, there's an opportunity to cash in assuming they do well.

Can Bayern buy him back (I am assuming for a higher than we would have to pay them in the first instance) and then sell him to someone else for more money immediately?

Tillman is a must. As much as I like Lundstram and Sakala, I would be ok with one of them being sold to fund Tillman. His ceiling is so high and we could make fantastic money on him if he keeps progressing the way he is.

Waste of wages? Whilst he hasn't progressed as I certainly hoped, he was hardly a waste of a wage. Always put in max effort and seemed to be willing to play anywhere - didn't work out for him but certainly not for lack of willingness on his part (at least that's my view) .

Could it be the Australian from St Mirren? Another midfielder but someone we were linked with quite heavily.

Football have moved on from that generation - probably quite hard for players to relate to a hugely successful team that had a very different mentality and culture. Loads of teams use specialists - people are just absolutely desperate to be negative about anything that happens with the club right now.

Agreed. As much as it pains me to say it, thought their RB was pretty standout yesterday. Hugely disappointing result but I definitely think it will serve as motivation and a learning experience for (hopefully) the SC final. As much as everyone is criticising the performance, which I agree wasn't great, we could have actually won with some of the chances missed. A few tactical tweaks and personnel changes and we could definitely beat them.

Portland Club is a rangers bar but no idea if it's still on the go. Heathmount is nice but not directly in the town centre, maybe a 10 minute walk. The Gellions should have it on and that's usually full of old boys so it's a bit more relaxed.
