If we had been offered 3 signings at the start of the window, we would have been relatively happy (considering some of the cash wasted by Beale) . The disappointment is not adding another striker…. BUT… we have silva, dessers and roofe (in theory! ) . They have Kyogo, oh and idah.

Time for those in other areas (excluding Tav) to set up the way turnbull, palma, o’Reilly and Abada (before injuries) .

BUT - recruitment is a massive factor in success or failure. Over the last 4-5 years: mcauley, hastie, barker, jones, Stewart, sadiq, Itten, grezda, bacuna, lafferty, edmundson…. too many failures! Time to go young and hungry. Hopefully what we are sing now!

Because he brought in Silva for that position and obviously we were unable to obtain anyone else who would have been worth while spending money on. No point in bringing in ‘the wrong person’ just now rather than wait and get the right long term option in the summer. Everyone is talking about how we only have Dessers and Silva, well Celtic only really have Kyogo and the guy they’ve just brought in from Norwich, so same position really.

Wouldn`t be too disappointed if we don`t get another striker in this window.
Silva has been unlucky with a few half chances thus far, think he will put away his share of goals before the seasons ends.
Would like to see young Lovelace get another chance as well, reading on here he might be for the off, u never know a goal or two for the first team at a packed Ibrox might just make him think again?

I get the impression that if Silva had been brought in tonight folk would have been happier. PC has brought in a striker. It's a gamble, but then there's very few proven goalscorers out there and their clubs aren't just going to let them leave on loan half way through a season - so it's put up big £££s or go for riskier options on loan etc. were paying Dessers, Danilo, Sima, Silva and Roofe right now and I doubt that leaves much in the budget to splash out major dough on January on another one!

I believe we have tried a number of targets (that the manager wanted) . Didn’t happen so need to move on. Insurance of an extra forward would be good, but if one hasn’t arrived I believe it is because the PC didn’t get his man or didn’t fancy what was on offer.
Disappointing to think people here think PC either doesn’t understand what is at stake in 2nd half of season or does not have a plan. Other than one poor result, PC has turned the season around and given real cause for optimism (on all fronts), and I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt in knowing what it takes to win with what he has.

Imo it's nothing to do with money we just couldn't find the right player, that's fair enough, we can just buy a player to appease the fans. I do believe it will cost us though.

I don't have any inside info like some on here, but read the room mate.
Most of our summer budget will pay for the 2 option to buy guys.
We don't have anyone apart from butland that will generate income so I don't think the summer will be much better to be honest.

Silva is a striker, he was signed as one and has played his games for us as one . As yet he hasn`t scored but do all strikers score in their first could of games? Fun fact, Dessers has actually outscored Kyogo in domestic games this season, unfortunately for us not in the two OF games.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying diomande won’t be good I don’t know enough about the lad to judge just saying if the priority was the striker they could have done it .

Who knows they could maybe still add a free agent signing for cover so maybe that’s their thinking if we do get more injuries it’s risky though.
