I see Joe Aribo still looking for a club.
Any merit in letting him train and see come January if he's worth a deal?
Only 30 and I get we have talent in the squad, but he was a versatile player who could potentially still offer a lot going forward.

Really tough to see where he'd fit in the our team. What a first touch he had, he was a very good player for us.

Great player back in the day but I think we have several players currently who are better suited to our style of play. Nothing negative to say about him but I can't see him being offered a place in our squad.

I see no downside to allowing him to train and see what he can offer. Can play LB, CM, CAM and an inside forward he even played up top on his own in Europa league final.
Experienced and still only 30 with no transfer fee.
If Del can run rule over him over next 6-8 weeks and see if he can be an asset or not.

I would say it would be a good move but truthfully I can't see it happening. Joe was a great player for us.

I wouldn't bring Joe Aribo back because he's had his time with us and we've moved on but I am amazed that he hasn't got another club in England .As somebody says there must be a reason we don't know about .Same goes for Ryan Kent.

Jimmy, he was on £45k a week, half of what you suggest. Right now he is on £0 a week and has been since July. The problem isn't money as the longer this goes on, the less his chances are of getting back into the game at any decent level. There must be another underlying issue here.

Lived watching him but not sure he would fit the way we play now as more of 442 rather than the 4231 we played when he was with us.

Would be a good addition to the squad I think on a short term deal on low ish wages if we could. Was always a good player and more experience now.

Pretty sure we played 4-3-3 when he was with us and he played in both the midfield 3 and the front 3, sometimes even as a striker and also played left back .He has since played as a holding midfielder and even in a back 3 at Southampton so I don't think fitting in to whatever system we choose to play would be an issue.
I like him as a player but I just don't think we need him at the moment.
