I see rumours that J Defoe would like to return to the famous as a coach or manager.
I'd have his as a coach in a heart beat, he played at the top for many years and was remarkably fit during this time, he would be a great addition to the back room staff.

only if we really need him and would be better with him on board, not out of sentiment.

Get him in as coach for the strikers he would be perfect for that role big Naderi and Kelsey would learn a lot from him.

Didn't he leave his last job under a wee bit of a cloud?

Aye MPH as a manager I believe it was.
Regardless of that I'd bring him in as a striker coach because his movement and finishing were first class and the one thing we need to get better at is finishing our chances.

We've got not one but two very natural finishers at Ibrox bbj 👍 lawrence shankland and bojan Miovski mate 👌🇬🇧 Provide the service for these two strikers and they'll finish with their eyes shut as they're natural goalscorers 👌🇬🇧.

I think we should be trying to attract the best coaches possible.
I'm not sure Defoe is in this category, yet.

This must be from the Boyd pos cast I watched yesterday, was a off the cuff tongue in cheek remark not a proposition.

Penrice has been brilliant for us so far and I'm very glad we have him, but no English Premier League team is going to be looking to sign a 28 year old (he'll be 28 even by the time the January window opens) from the Scottish league no matter how well they are playing, it just won't be in their business model. If any team in England is looking to sign a 28 year old then they will be an established big name top international player.
Andy Robertson really was the exception that proves the rule when he signed for Liverpool, but even then he was only 23 and had already been performing outstandingly in England for Hull, proving that he could perform there.

Seen him around milngavie a few times, he was pleasant but I'm not sure how qualified he is to be a Rangers coach, I think there will be plenty ahead of him, and I think he's blotted his copybook more than once.
