For me, this is a clear indication McInnes wants to play 4-4-2, so must feel 4 CMs is enough.

I hope that both Barron and Cameron come back stronger players from their loans, as they are both quality players, and Barron has a future captain in him. He has shown glimpses of leadership and drive.

The negativity is frightening! Not great that Raskin hasn't gone for money reasons, same with Manny and Aasgaard, but our squad is not weaker than last season.
Most on here thought Chermiti and Manny were a waste of money last year, they are not the finished article, but we can all see their value.
With Raskin in the midfield, we are better off. Dan Neil will come good, just give him a chance rather than slating every touch.
I've seen other players play worse with no comment.
Min Su looks fantastic. New striker, fingers crossed, will be great. Shankland will score goals if we get him the supply. Curtis is coming on leaps and bounds, and Gassama has started off great this season. Plus Yakota and a young Naderi!
I don't think we are as bad as some of our fans make out, or the pundits for that matter. We will show them!

Surprised at that view of Barron, John - last season he was playing really well until his injury - I have never seen him step on the pitch and not make the team look better, and I don't see Devlin in that way, or in any way an upgrade.
Barron is also only 24 v Devlin's 28, so has plenty development potential. I think this is a mistake by the recruitment team.

Devlin a 6. Oh dear me, we may as well skip to next season then. He can tackle, and mainly after he has lost the ball, because he can't pass; that's why his stats look better.
The lad is a terrier, no doubt, but in no way should he be our number 6.

Devlin is a ball winning midfielder. Don't think he can play the 6 and control the midfield. Barron obviously isn't rated by Dm, or he would be about the squad. Maybe he wants first team football, and that's why he's away. If we sell anymore midfielders, we will need to bring one in. Or maybe Raskin stays.
