Reason for Souttar not been sold is he was not to keen on the clubs who showed interest he thinks he should be playing at a higher level ie lower end of Premier League or top end of Championship he's been wanting to play down south for about 18 months

More like Tim Min Su. 🤣

Don't insult our new South Korean left winger Min Su Kim, Blue89. 😁 🇬🇧

Not a rumour, just my opinions.
Souttar has to go if we can get anything at all for him. He hasn't been anything near consistent enough and does not have the qualities of a CB that we need. He's average at best, and if we can get any decent money for him then take it.
Raskin has never achieved anything at the club. He is a disruptive influence and he blows hot and cold. His qualities would be best suited to either a team who does not have the pressure or ours or a team with superstars around him whereby he is less pressured to be a game changer.
Gassama is just not good enough and while he may be a star in the making, he needs to learn a lot. His final third decision making is awful and while he sometimes has flashes of brilliance, he is just not consistent enough and he is very greedy with the ball to the team's detriment.
I'd have no issue if he delivered more, but he doesn't.
Aasgaard does not have the mentality for the club, and he is another highly talented player who might just never be able to shine at Rangers due to his weak mentality.
Fernandez has to go. Whatever he is, he's not a CB. If there is a quality defender in there, then he has to give his ego up for good and show some humility. He came to us as a nothing effectively and he has been catapulted into the limelight as he scored a few headers. If we get anything over £10m for him then I'd take it and run.
These are the 5 I'd hope we can move on this window to be replaced, and there could be big money between them. Barron, Cameron etc, are all surplus also and we need to clear the decks of all the dead weight.

RFC, the goal Aberdeen got chopped, he was standing watching it. Compare that to the one the Aberdeen player slid in to stop Shankland putting it into an empty net. He just doesn't have the defend at all cost attitude unless the ball is right at him or in the air.
31 Aug 2026 09:29:44
RFC, so all these players are terrible in your opinion but u want mega money for all?
31 Aug 2026 09:32:58
SWS, he was insulting the 0-0 poster, not our players. Still no need for it right enough.
31 Aug 2026 09:46:25
I know JFM, that's the reason I put the smiling 😁 face, my friend. 👍 🇬🇧

The Fernandez last season was much better than what we have seen this season. I think he has been distracted by transfer rumours. If he stays past this window, I think we will see a better player after the window closes. But he must be doing stuff that McInnes likes, as Nciala has not had a look in even when we were short or playing poor.

Get Souttar gone.
One more cb in, and defence shaping up ok tbh with Godfrey back.
31 Aug 2026 11:09:48
I know many will hate this, especially all the Rangers das out there (and I was surprised too), but Fernandez's stats are still really good. Even though he fails the eye test because he strolls about. I also think he's actually the best passer at the club.
I would like to see him show a bit more desire in stopping things.
I'll never forget that Motherwell game under Gerrard when we absolutely battered them, think it was about 5 or 6 nil at the time and Motherwell scored and you could see the whole team were raging to have let in a goal. Wish we had that mindset now.
31 Aug 2026 11:21:55
Absolutely spot on, Dado. He got away with one, but I'd still have been absolutely raging with him if I'd made that double save. Can have all the great stats you want, but it's also about the important moments that count.
31 Aug 2026 11:26:10
I thought Fernandez looked a lot more on it yesterday tbh.
31 Aug 2026 11:52:51
SamOfOrange, they aren't Rangers standard players. They could, and probably would, succeed at other clubs with less expectations and at clubs who can afford to carry a passenger. There are clubs who will pay good money for these players as they may meet a certain criteria, but they are not the standard that we can or should accept.
31 Aug 2026 11:58:09
Fernandez's passing stats can be attributed to the amount of passes back to the gk or across the defence. There's a real lack of urgency with him, and I really think it slows down our momentum sometimes. He has all the attributes to be a top player and I really hope he does for us, but just now he gives me the fear.
31 Aug 2026 12:27:22
I was meaning more his defensive stats, Gal. For the slowness and passing forward, he's usually waiting on midfielders to move into space, which they don't. I also think he tries to draw the other team's players towards him out of position as well, to try to make space to pass since nobody moves.
31 Aug 2026 12:50:45
If you actually look at Fernandes' passing, only 55% of his passes are the safer ones which retain possession (sideways, back to keeper). Not surprisingly, the success rate is high (94.5%) for those. But the other 45% of his passing game is progressive, and he is remarkably successful with those as he makes 73.3%. I think this is another case of where people think their eyes tell the truth when they don't.
Overall his success rate is 85 %, which is remarkably high for any player, never mind a CB.
The fact he doesn't sprint around at top headless chicken speed means fans think he is lazy and indifferent. Funnily, the same complaint as with Bajrami and Aasgaard. Perhaps Scottish football isn't for those type of players and we should stick to signing Gogic.
31 Aug 2026 12:52:31
Wish Fernandez would start attacking the ball again in both boxes.
31 Aug 2026 12:56:40
Fernandez made 3 horrendous passes against Aberdeen that were nowhere near their intended target and put the defence under undue pressure as Aberdeen counter attacked.
31 Aug 2026 12:58:52
Rangers, who actually is currently in our squad good enough? But, ok, we sell all these players, our assets if you will, and replace them with who? Please don't tell me Cameron and the likes or players from Hearts ect.
Andy Halliday said it spot on, you still need ability if you want Rangers fans who get it and are average footballers go get Halliday your still not going to win anything.
31 Aug 2026 13:06:02
I'll start with saying that Fernandez has had a poor start to the season, nobody can deny that, but the criticism is ott. To say that we should sell him for big money because he is not Rangers standard makes no sense. Part of the reason that he seems to hold on to the ball too long is that there is a lack of movement in front of him, and players making themselves available for the pass, so the option is to kick it aimlessly forward or keep possession.
His defending has been a bit more like it in the last two games, and yesterday he headed away countless dangerous crosses in and around our box. I would sell him if those big fees are offered, but I wouldn't be chasing him out the door like some want to do.
31 Aug 2026 13:35:37
There are multiple reasons why Souttar has not yet left the club and why he has not yet been selected this season.
I don't believe it's 100% guaranteed that he will leave.
31 Aug 2026 15:07:13
That's wild Souttar expecting to play in EPL.
He'd be lucky to get a fans in SPL.
31 Aug 2026 15:51:56
Kaiser. he didn't get away with one though. the player fouled and was then offside.
If Fernandez had went to the ball then maybe Nesbit would have been played onside and then chances are the goal would have stood.
