Just need to keep Stirling fit, Wullie.
Team looks a lot stronger now with Yakota, Makhanya and Dragojevic in the squad for UEL. Huge boost is Raskin back.

05 Aug 2026 13:13:59
What 2 drop out?

05 Aug 2026 13:20:55
Fork, I'd say it's probably out of McCausland, Gentles, and Cameron.

05 Aug 2026 13:24:41
I think this would have been the asking list of most fans at the start of Summer, so a bit sad that we've not progressed much in relation to making the first 11 stronger. Here's hoping for a strong remaining window so we can push on.

05 Aug 2026 13:27:15
Fork, I take that back! 😅 Just realised we need those guys in the squad to fulfil the locally trained quota (I think).

05 Aug 2026 13:28:29
Fork, I think Gentles will move to the B List and still be eligible. McAausland may make way for Yokota, although we are short of wide men, so if he's kept it'll likely be Lyall Cameron that misses out.

05 Aug 2026 13:39:55
Fork, ignore my last post. I was forgetting the 17 non-homegrown limit. Won't be Gentles or McAsuland making way. More likely Raskin / Chuka / Drago / Miovski.

05 Aug 2026 13:39:58
Fork, was Makhanya not already listed, meaning only one to drop out?

05 Aug 2026 13:48:46
You're right Jfm.

05 Aug 2026 13:56:55
Fork, mb u should explain criteria for a Euro squad, I mean to say, you have not explained it this week.

05 Aug 2026 12:45:09
Absolute madness.

05 Aug 2026 12:50:17
Letting the window close with McCrorie and a perpetually injured Sterling would be a terrible decision imo.

05 Aug 2026 14:05:07
You can't fix everything in one window. We will need to persevere with McCorrie and Sterling.

05 Aug 2026 14:11:20
Aye, I just made a complete oversight of one of the most important rules, John, haha! That's my take below.

List A -
25 players
Maximum 17 non-homegrown player slots.
8 homegrown slots - Max 4 association trained, Min 4 club trained.

Any missing "homegrown" slots, reduce the squad size from 25.
Min 2 goalkeepers.

List B -
Unlimited.
Youth born after 1st Jan 2005.
Restrictions on number of loans etc. they can have had.

05 Aug 2026 14:11:24
5 times, John. 🙄🤣 Drago was already in the 17, Makhanya and Kolkata, if added, means 2 drop out as numbers need to be 25, as long as local trained numbers aren't impacted.
See below.

For the qualifying phase and the play-offs, a club may register a maximum of two new eligible players on List A after the above-mentioned deadlines, provided the quota of locally trained players is respected.

This registration must be completed by 23:59 CET the day before the relevant first-leg match and the club's association must confirm in writing that the new player is currently eligible to play at domestic level. If the registration of a new player causes the number of players on List A to exceed 25, the club must remove a player registered previously to reduce the number of players on the list to 25 again.

05 Aug 2026 14:16:25
The deadline was 31st July for submission of list. We can add 2 up to 23:59 tonight, and criteria above must be met.

05 Aug 2026 14:30:53
Fork, sorry, Makhanya was in squad submitted on Friday 31/7.

05 Aug 2026 14:47:14
Folks, in relation to gentles born in Wales, moved to Renfrew when under a year old.
Signed for us as a seven year old.
He is classified as a Rangers Academy grown.

Due to another quirk in UEFA rules, he can be named on A list, this was same last year.
Imo it makes no difference as he would qualify on B list.

05 Aug 2026 14:59:57
Thought it was only Dragojevic John, so was Makhanya included before his visa was acquired?

05 Aug 2026 15:15:02
Yes, mate, he was included as he was eligible for the home tie against the Poles. Another quirk in the rules, imo.
His work visa allows him to play, but Schengen rules confuse issue re certain countries.

Yokota ok as he already played in Europe.

05 Aug 2026 15:25:45
Nsiala drops out to allow winger to be included. Squad on UEFA site if you want to look.

05 Aug 2026 15:32:42
Cheers, John. 👍
