I think Cerny is too expensive for us in terms of fee and wages. We just walked away from the Dahl deal due to finances and I doubt Cerny would be much cheaper.
A loan from Coventry sounds about right.

Is that who our right winger is going to be? It would be hard to be positive about this season if we get someone who only appears 5 times for Coventry in the whole 2nd part of last season.
It only felt like a week ago, everything felt positive. All they've bought are journeymen. No quality. Left to basically hope some guy from Coventry just randomly becomes a huge star for us. Highly unlikely.

Would rather go for the African lad from Motherwell. Still early 20s, can score goals and will have a resale value for us. The price we pay for Cerny could probably get Braga from Hearts.

Don't mean to be a bummer, but people saying we need to ship players out before we sign any new ones is the worst thing I've heard in a long time. We can't go into a season with no right winger, no matter how many players you have. If that's the case, then it's extremely disappointing. I had high hopes at the start, but after seeing the lineup and bench on Friday, my first thought was we severely lack width, and secondly we lack a lot of cover in a lot of areas.
Defensively, short and wide areas are a massive concern. 11 players shipped out already, with at least 2-3 still rumoured to leave.

Only seen Ferry against us and a couple of games against them, and always causes problems for both. Yeah, we need challengers at back, but we need at least one winger in this week and probably another two before end of window.
Two must be starters that will benefit it now, not just making us a few quid down the line when we have won bugger all. If we don't, we are fighting for second and United game will be the normal for rest of season.

If the Cerny deal is to happen, I suspect it'll be closer to deadline day.
He'd need to take a considerable drop in pay, so will no doubt be exploring alternative options.

Why do we need to get rid of players first? We have wealthy owners who promised investment, took in £16million in a share issue and are pretty much certain to get a healthy fee for Raskin. Surely they can pay out the money in advance of sales, especially since the whole fee doesn't get paid up front.
