Reid the majority of these targets have nothing to do with stig. Maybe someone in the know can confirm but I've heard he's been brushed a side a bit since the departure of Rohl IE a change in targets and transfer strategy. I could be hearing 💩 but maybe someone could confirm.

I agree, sack the footballing operations team - there's plenty more qualified folk on here who are experts in Google and YouTube.

We, as fans, are so fickle.
Not every player we are linked with is genuine or real.
Not every player we fail to sign is because we don't "bid enough".
Diawara was practically as good as done but at the last minute changed his mind. Nothing the club could have done. Fee was agreed, personal terms were agreed, but the player chose Italy over Scotland for his development.
Players we look to sign aren't fans of the club, so they look at it different to us.
They're weighing everything up: financially, lifestyle & culture, career progression & opportunities, climate. Some of us need to bear this in mind when seeing links and speculation.
I'd much rather sign a player who wants to be here and prove a point instead of someone we have to convince to come to Scotland.

Iron, that's exactly what I was getting at the other day when I sarcastically mentioned how many of the posters on here have time to watch the Eredivisie, Norwegian leagues, Swedish leagues, Championship, Swiss leagues, MLS etc. Guys must never get off the couch and never sleep, or maybe, just maybe, they Google goals and assists, see that it's not at a ratio of 1 goal involvement per game or 2, and then declare the player rubbish, YouTube search and don't find much and double down on the claim.
What folk don't know but could easily find out with a bit of digging is that prior to Jahnoah Markelo moving to Coventry from Zurich it is believed that we had interest in the player, but Coventry made a move for him and signed the boy. So it's a player our club have knowledge of. They've not just panicked and grabbed a boy from an English club.

As I said the other day, Iron, it's not the 50s. Fans can form opinions on players without having to watch them week in, week out.
I never watched Maradona. Can I not make an assessment on him based on stats, clips, and opinions of other people?

Your logic is flawed.
You can form opinions without watching players, whether that opinion turns out to be true, that's another thing.
I'm a fan though, I am allowed to comment on the players my club's targeting, don't see why that bothers you so much.

The problem with Koppen is, we moved him away from what he was good at, i.e. recruitment, and gave him extra responsibilities. He had plusses, Igamane, Cerny, but he had big minuses too. Propper and Silva come to mind.
