Played under him for two seasons, first on loan, then he signed him. Being honest, I can't remember him. Then he moved to Italy, only just capped for Ireland recently, 26 years old, was at Ipswich for around 6/7 and loaned out every season, will have plenty experience.
Ipswich must have seen potential in him, lb/cb, still like another left footed cb, he can cover Rommens as well. Would like to see Fernandez play Rcb.

I'm with you, Dado. You build from the back, we need serious quality added to our defensive options.
This lad may be a decent player, but I'd have liked to have seen us bring in some higher profile across the back line. I love Rommens, but other than him I think we can upgrade on all other defensive positions, including Fernandez for that matter.

Piecing things from good posters on here, this would fit with someone who would qualify as a competition signing, not a massive name but a good consistent player and left footed as well.
I touched the other day on the fact that Manny is naturally a right sided CB, so would be good to get him back there.
Godfrey, Manny, Ndaba have the makings of a solid CB squad, though with Souttar and Nsiala potentially leaving, feel we need at least 1 if not 2 more for that position.

Dig, Dado, we already have a Rolls Royce of an LB so need a capable back up which I think this lad would be. Never seen him play a bad game when he was with Kilmarnock. I would love another couple of no nonsense solid defenders, but for me, if cheap enough this is good business for domestic football.

If DMc had him at Killie and has gone back in for him, he must rate the player.
He seems to be able to cover a few positions, is big, strong and athletic, and might surprise when given his chance. Certainly not the type to let u down.
Would be a very sensible addition to our squad.

I get it if he's back up to Rommens, but in general the defensive links have been extremely underwhelming and it's the worst area of our team. Feel like it's continuing to be neglected. 2 weeks from big kick off and as it stands defence is weak.
