There was a bit of talk about young Curtis being offered a new deal a month or so back. Does anyone ITK know if he was offered a new deal and has or is likely to sign it?

13 Jul 2026 22:15:28
He's signed up til 2027 and he's one of us. Yes, going to be a player for us this year and there's signings in the next week that will change the course of next season dramatically within the next few days.

13 Jul 2026 22:15:49
Be criminal not to give him a 12-15k deal.

13 Jul 2026 22:28:18
£12-15k based on what Stevie?

A good loan spell at Killie?

13 Jul 2026 22:33:47
That's what I am worried about. He starts the season well and catches the eye of other teams. He would be free to negotiate come January. I know he is one of us, but so was Billy Gilmour among others.

13 Jul 2026 22:35:20
I want Curtis to stick around long term. The fans need a home grown favourite.

13 Jul 2026 22:48:07
I think he needs another loan move this season. Would love to see him playing abroad for a season.

13 Jul 2026 22:49:11
12-15k? Crazy figures. Half that at a push.

13 Jul 2026 23:03:51
Ecky, any semi "decent" signing we've made recent has been on that and more. Curtis, if he has a decent year this year, is 100% worthy of that money.

13 Jul 2026 23:42:33
12-15k with a player with his potential is nothing, other teams would happily pay him that, especially if they grab him on a free.

13 Jul 2026 23:53:42
Big gamble letting him go on loan again EHL and might be the best thing in long run, but the boy has a knack of scoring goals and looks to have no fear in kicking on in a Rangers team.

13 Jul 2026 23:57:45
A lot of you are out of touch with what football teams pay young players. ? 12k for a talent like Curtis is nothing. He'll get double that if he moves down to England.

14 Jul 2026 00:05:07
Apparently Rice is on 15k, so to say Curtis being on 12k is crazy figures is, well, probably lower than what he actually deserves compared to others.

14 Jul 2026 00:55:22
I think Ehl would mean sign a new deal then go on loan to protect and develop our investment in the boy.

14 Jul 2026 04:48:04
BillyHrfc, there's no way Rice is on 15k a wk, fs, he was on jst over 3k a wk before he signed his extension this summer. No chance he got a 12k wage hike when he's done nothing.

14 Jul 2026 05:20:07
Ehl. We let an international go out on loan. ????

14 Jul 2026 06:11:22
Curtis going abroad for a season on loan could be very good for both parties. Puts in a different shop window, for me it's all about who we take in to play out wide. Again, I hope Dahl signs and the young Serb. Our average age is becoming much younger.

14 Jul 2026 01:03:58
I'd like to see him being given a chance this season. Other than Cerny, has there been any other rumours of wingers? I haven't heard a peep which is quite surprising considering, imo, it's a position we're really lacking talent.

14 Jul 2026 06:46:32
Curtis is the best wide player Rangers currently have. Curtis is one of the best young prospects in Scottish football. Curtis is breaking through into the national side. If Curtis had a full year at Kilmarnock, he could score double figures and be a contender for Scotland's YPOTY.

An Italian club would probably pay several million for Curtis right now based on potential alone. They're all over Scottish football looking for the next top prospects.

If Rangers won't give Curtis a chance now, then I really think we should just shut the academy down.

14 Jul 2026 06:59:01
I agree with Ehl. The ideal scenario for me is to loan back Moore and loan Curtis out to England for the season. I think one more good loan for Curtis would take his game to an excellent level.

14 Jul 2026 07:40:43
Going out on loan may be good for Curtis' development, but I fear it'd mean we don't get to see him play much for us. Big clubs are going to be watching, and soon offering mega money for him. I'd rather get to enjoy him while we can.

14 Jul 2026 08:15:12
Let Curtis go on loan and keep Gassama. I know who I would pick first.

14 Jul 2026 09:06:46
Curtis is a player who has proved he can deliver as he did for Killie whilst on loan.
For me, he starts at LW.

14 Jul 2026 09:43:09
Copland, did he play lw for Kilmarnock? I know he played rw, cm, rb though.

14 Jul 2026 09:43:52
Played right side in our Friendly in Spain a couple of days ago.

14 Jul 2026 10:27:53
EHL, hope you're well.

Can I ask why you think he should go out rather stay (with agreed) playing time for us? Bearing in mind we have Euro football.

Curious to your thought process.

14 Jul 2026 11:28:01
GDog, I don't think he's at a level start for us yet and he still has a lot of room for development in his game.

Going somewhere less pressurised and playing 30+ games is, to me, the sensible move.

14 Jul 2026 11:33:58
Ehl, do you think that is something the club will pursue?

14 Jul 2026 12:03:13
Curtis will get plenty game time at Rangers next season.

14 Jul 2026 12:49:33
Cheers, Ehl.

Valid points.

14 Jul 2026 12:56:50
Goram, it's what Rohl and Curtis discussed, and what was on the cards for this season.

I'm not sure what McInnes' opinion is.

14 Jul 2026 14:43:26
Offer him the half yous are suggesting and he won't sign it.

Some people don't have a clue, man, it's no even worth trying to debate.

14 Jul 2026 16:46:20
The plan of bringing Olsen in January and loaning Curtis definitely looked good at the time, but unfortunately Olsen was a shadow of the player we all thought he was. I hope Curtis gets more game time this season with us without the pressure of being the main option on right/left. If his performances merit a start, then well done to him.
