Hellas Verona credited with an interest in Barron, also says we'd be looking for about 8mil for any potential sale. Seems a bit steep to me. What would you guys value him at?

4-5 with add-ons.

Serie A would be a great move for Barron. I genuinely think he will improve more in Italy than here in Scotland. That price is a bit high, imo. I think if you get 4-6 million, you've done very well if you can insert a sell on as well.

The club the club obviously want to sell him, in my opinion he's worth between 4-5million. He's young, at one point last season he was our best player. He is not worth the £8million.

Always said Barron was worth more than.
Some value.
£7 million, I think, would start negotiations.

Doesn't matter what fans believe he's worth. He's worth as much as a team is willing to pay, and we won't be underselling our assets under this ownership.

I think 8 mil is very fair. I'd personally keep him. Think his attitude is brilliant and he was really kicking on last year before he was injured, was the best player in the team. But the owners aren't daft, they know player prices these days and most of our fan base are stuck in 1970 wanting pennies for our players and are seeing the Italian clubs are buying our players for pennies, playing them a couple times in a mediocre Italian league then selling them on for 3/4 times what they bought them for.
They're wanting 10+ million for Bowie now and he just moved there so well done our owners if this price is what they want.

Verona have just been relegated to Serie B, would that really be a good move for Barron and would they be forking out big money for players?
10 Jul 2026 12:42:10
Great how so many of our fans rate players value so fricken low. ?
10 Jul 2026 12:46:43
Wslgers4ever, depends on if they have the ambition to get straight back up.

Hey GDog, we are all financial experts, football agents & managers on this forum, didn't you know that?. ?

Right, so for me. We don't want to seek Barron. So, we have to charge more than we value him at, due justify it.
For me I'd be askin £7-8m.
10 Jul 2026 13:43:01
I'd sell Barron for 4 million with a good sell-on clause.
10 Jul 2026 13:55:30
Weird how it's always the same Italian teams that are linked with all the Scottish based players, eh! ?
10 Jul 2026 13:58:37
The only factor that dictates the true value of any player is: 'How much the buying club or clubs are willing to pay'. Eg: Engles £25 million. ?♂️

Barron is a weird one for me. Some games I really rate him, then some games he looks like a wee boy getting muscled off the ball far too easily. He shouldn't be near a strongest Rangers starting 11 but a good squad player.
Doesn't offer much from an attacking sense, but actually has better set piece delivery than I expected. With that said, I would be astonished if we got 8 million. As some other posters have said, 4-5 I would be very very tempted.

Is it 8 million euros? Seems about right. But if it's 8 million quid, take it.
