I'm hearing now that mcinnes is in charge there's talk a talk with James Tavernier about returning for 12 month so he can finally get the send off he deserved which is why there's nothing about him signing with another club early stages but it's something is in the works.

Personally a do think Tav was a great servant and was did wrong by Danny so I'm 50/50 on this but I do remember a few years back when goldson looked like he was gone and then signed a new deal.

So I wouldn't be surprised if this actually happened but a guess time will tell

?⚪️???.

25 Jun 2026 09:37:04
No, no, no. This is a massive backwards step imo. I cannot see this happening.

25 Jun 2026 09:41:44
No room for sentiment.

25 Jun 2026 09:48:26
So we are going to give him a 12 month contract so we can give him a send off! That's a send off and a half that.

25 Jun 2026 09:55:34
I would take Tav back on 10k a week.

25 Jun 2026 09:57:18
I think this is 1) utter nonsense and 2) if not, then the worst idea this club has ever had (and there have been a lot of them over the years).
Not that I'm 'hating on Tav', but his time is now well and truly over.

We are trying to start fresh (again), going crawling back to a guy who's won very little and seen off way more managers than silverware won would be ridiculous.

25 Jun 2026 10:02:24
This is rage bait.

25 Jun 2026 10:02:36
Would go against the grain of what we look like we are trying to achieve in this window and moving forward, can't see it although I have previously joked about this had Gerrard got the job.

It's a please no from me.

25 Jun 2026 10:29:25
I'm hoping this is just a nonsense story. Tav has been a great servant to us, but his time has run out now. We need fresh blood.

25 Jun 2026 10:34:12
Absolutely nothing in that.

Tav's time has gone.

25 Jun 2026 10:39:10
Surely we'd just give him a Testimonial within the next year or so without a contract. That's the norm with ex players, so why is this any different. It's Tav that spat the dummy out, and for all we know affected the changing room and players in the process.

25 Jun 2026 10:43:23
TheMadGer, where you heard this from, they're clearly ripping it.

25 Jun 2026 11:01:24
Absolutely not - we need to stop with the sentiment - over recent weeks we've seen comments about Kent, Aribo, Katic returning. In reply to one of the comments above that Tav was done wrong by Danny, Tav didn't cover himself in glory either by trying to make a league game all about himself and then throwing the toys out the pram and leaving the stadium.

25 Jun 2026 11:00:00
The Op posting this is mental enough.
But somebody then posting they would offer Tav £10K a week takes it to a new level!

25 Jun 2026 11:18:18
That's interesting because he is about to sign for another club down south.

This is a rumours website, but some of the stuff on here honestly.

25 Jun 2026 11:20:06
was there not talk mcinness wanted Tav at Hearts?

25 Jun 2026 11:50:03
Time to move on from Tav.

25 Jun 2026 12:06:57
I'm a fan of Tav but his time at Rangers is over. The way it ended was not ideal, but if we want to give him a send off, give him a testimonial match for charity and let him come back and say cheerio that way. Leeds would be the ideal opponent for a couple of reasons.

25 Jun 2026 12:40:59
Wondered how long before someone would write this ? No chance.

25 Jun 2026 12:57:39
Both Rohl & Tav are equally to blame. As a captain, Tav shouldn't have thrown his dummy out & should have supported Rohl's way. If Rohl did say he was starting & changed his mind, which he is entitled to do, he should have told him sooner.

Considering Rohl & Cavanagh said we needed new leadership & experience, to me that points more to Tav being more in the wrong. Cavanagh would block this too.

25 Jun 2026 12:58:18
0-0 poster with an outlandish rumour as their first post. Make of that what you will, but I reckon it's a green yin in disguise.

25 Jun 2026 13:04:49
Person should b nowhere near Ibrox again regardless of how good a servant he was! The guy refused to get stripped for us, no player bigger than the club. Imagine what our fan base would b saying if that was someone like Miovski.

25 Jun 2026 13:29:53
How is it, Mrpotatohead? He would be great back up, and on their wages would save us getting in 2 right backs, could spend the money elsewhere. Would I start him? No. Is he good enough back up? Absolutely.

25 Jun 2026 14:59:31
Rfc McCrorie is the back up, apparently, if signed, so Tav would be starting or McCrorie would start. Tav is past it & his legs are gone, McCrorie (I've had my say on here) is 28, so we'd need to sign a RB or two eventually & would rather get a younger one.

25 Jun 2026 15:12:35
The OP was looking for a few bites and they certainly got them.

25 Jun 2026 15:21:23
Back up on £10K a week?
He should be paying us to be back up.
