As I've said many times I am not a man in the know but a friend of mine who also is not in the know has just messaged me and said his partner's sister has a farm house in blackwood and Lewis Ferguson has apparently purchased a property behind her home. I'll post a screenshot to show I'm not making it up.

As I've said neither me nor him are in the know so take it with a pinch of salt, or fully believe. I'm saying it's done ?

Ayrshire, as you can probably tell by my screen name, I live in Blackwood and my daughter has been best friends with Lewis's partner since primary school. The house in question was purchased months and months ago, the for somewhere for her and the two kids to come over instead bunking in with parents.

Now, I'm not saying he is or isn't coming, as much as I've asked my daughter to find out; she values her friendship also and wouldn't say even if she knew. I hope he does sign, but unfortunately I have absolutely zero info on the matter, only what I know around their house and what my daughter tells me snippets.

17 Jun 2026 22:27:22
Sorry to add to my previous post, it's not a farmhouse, it's a very very large house that was only built and finished months ago.

Trust me with this. You are looking too much into this haha

I would put my whole reputation on the line for this. In building and with my friend ITK.

Lewis, Lewis family, Lewis Friends who visit him in Italy are all from that area.

If you know the area there are significant property development opportunities.

Some beautiful properties have been made nearby.

I am not surprised he and others are investing in this land and nearby.

First rumour that involves land and transfers that I've not started haha.

Fair enough, mate. As I said, I have no inside knowledge so was just sharing. Thank you for the insight though, bud. Definitely appreciate it.

17 Jun 2026 22:31:33
Blackwood Bear, we may have a few friends in common. I am Overtown and have connections with the friends who are in Larkhall.

17 Jun 2026 22:35:52
AyrshireMurphy, if you ever want investment, have a look at land at Clyde Valley, the post code comes under Larkhall, and it might surprise some, but Larkhall will be worth a good sum more due to these buildings being built.

17 Jun 2026 22:44:48
The lad has clearly done very well financially & is setting up for life after Italy, nothing sinister here.
imo, he will not be signing for Rangers. We really need to move on.

17 Jun 2026 22:52:33
Watp
My wife's from Overtown, I'm Sunny Car L, not too far away, my big mates family from Overtown sold some amount of land down there for quite a pretty penny, I'm led to believe.

WATP, I'm born and bred Larkhall, but left the Vegas of South Lanarkshire just over 20 years ago and moved up here to Blackwood. Ayrshire not a problem, my friend, and I'm sure if I find out any snippets I may drop a teaser or two, but my daughter wouldn't tell me where a bird's nest was tbf haha.

WATP, it's a strange one, as Lewis's mum and dad now live in Larkhall and bought my best mate's mum and dad's old house. Just goes to show how small a world we live, mate.

17 Jun 2026 23:02:50
GJB83, I started in Bentfoot Road haha.

Blackwoodbear - such a small world, eh. I don't know the Lewis family, but I do have a link with one of the friends. Completely respect that you're not using your relationships to find out info.

Larkhall is definitely up and coming due to Clyde Valley postcodes. Never thought I would say those words haha.

17 Jun 2026 23:02:55
Stonehouse boy here. Hence the Tom Forsyth reference. He was friends with my grandad. I went to school in Larkhall. Small world indeed, but Vegas is pushing it. :p

17 Jun 2026 23:53:08
I think Lewis is coming regardless of any of this. He's going to be next capitano.

18 Jun 2026 00:29:26
Stevie, someone mentioned earlier about being expensive for our model. Yes, he is, but Ferguson isn't any part of any model. Cavenagh wants him signed, and will go out his way to make it happen. Heard this story not from one man that gets information, but a few. This could very well happen. The major part is Ferguson willing to sign right now.

18 Jun 2026 01:20:29
Mate, I called ue a while back.

He could be our version of McGregor.

Derek said try only thing in the way of the move is the fee. That's his dad saying coke and get him.

I'd happily pay EUR15m for him. He's worth it. Keep Barron.

Ferguson is captain Shankland VC Neil after them.

I genuinely and really believe we'll sign him.

He'll likely have a guarantee that he can leave for EPL with a buyout of £20m or sumfin.

He's a one off signing. An out of the park price for an out of the park player.

He's immense. With him in the middle of the park and Neil beside him. Barron as back up, and Chucky needs to up his game, don't get me wrong, but maybe he will. I feel one more in there and we've a good mf.

18 Jun 2026 01:22:01
5 year deal equates to EUR3m a season plus say £1-2m in wages, 6m, so if we sell for £20m after year 3 or 4 (if he extended for 2 years) we'd be in profit.

18 Jun 2026 01:55:17
1.2 million, sorry.

18 Jun 2026 03:50:05
You ain't selling Lewis Ferguson for more than we buy him for, unfortunately, due to the age he will be after 3/4 years.

But that's not what he's being bought for. If he comes, it's for longevity/leadership and the intention of him being here potentially even longer, leading the side.

18 Jun 2026 05:58:55
Coully, my man, u are absolutely correct, mate. I didn't realise his age. He'll be 27 in August. You're correct, we ain't.

However, that may help us get him just that wee bit cheaper now too.

Maybe get him for around EUR12m, I'd say then.

I mean, that's what £10m clean with no players thru in.

Maybe they'll want Barron plus £8m? Is that one of the 2 players we're signing for £6-8m John alludes to, along with Braga maybe?

Fair play, mate.

Lewis had injury issues, as did his father. Are Lewis' injuries just one of those things, or does 15 mill euros seem risky? Yea, every signing could be seen to be a risk, but surely not your marquee signing.

18 Jun 2026 09:14:15
Happens with most footballers, Teddy, but for being close to 27 years old, Lewis hasn't had a great deal of injuries, noticed him getting kicked a few times during the Scotland game last Saturday, straight up.

18 Jun 2026 11:01:54
Lewis is fine.

M***'s will always get a few injuries.

I'd happily pay EUR12-15m for him, absolutely no problem.
