I have heard from a few fans that if McInnes does become the manager he is going to look to bring a few players with him and wants to bring Claudio Braga, Cammy Devlin, Craig Halkett, Alexandros Kyziridis. I think these players would be good squad players.

RWC, if they overinflate the price, we simply don't buy, and if you look at the other teams Bloom is involved with, they sell players to league rivals without a second thought. Brighton and USG are prime examples. They're all about making money through player sales no matter who is buying.
They'll have numerous players who they'll be ready to bring in through their analytics. That's their strategy, buy cheap, develop/put in the shop window, then sell. They'll sell to the highest bidder even if it is a rival.

It's just pure speculation due to McInnes coming. Maybe Devlin as a squad option on a free, but I doubt it.

Why are we going to take 5-6 Hearts players who failed to beat the worst Celtic team I can remember to a league? Devlin isn't nearly the standard we need. Only other one who would be a possibility for me is Braga.

We already have too many sitting midfielders as it is. Barron, Chukwuani and Raskin all very similar. It's a no for Devlin for me.

We don't need squad players, we need players who improve our starting 11, then if we can't get rid of our current starting 11, they become the squad players.
It's hard to believe that some fans think that all of a sudden the Hearts team are miles better than ours.

Devlin isn't any better than what we already have. Braga, Kyzaridis and James Wilson are the three I'd like to see.
If the owners think taking Hearts players and manager will bring us success, they are wrong. Hearts are a very well run club and probably have the best background set up in the country. They will move on and get stronger.
There were already rumours that McInnes didn't fully align with Jamestown's football model and weren't happy with some of his coaching decisions during games.
This appointment stinks of fan appeasement imo. Nevertheless we must get this one right and McInnes isn't the answer for me. Time will tell.

These kinds of comments fall on their bum right away when the person making them doesn't know enough to know that Halkett is out for months with a bad injury. Rangers have got the player from Hearts we wanted and just because we have taken Hearts manager doesn't mean that more will follow.

I think that McInnes is the sensible option given the circumstances and like that we have been decisive.
imo Braga was one of the best performers in the league this year and would be an improvement to the squad rather than just being backup.
Good point made about having knowledge of Jamestown targets - there could be a couple that he fancies and that could influence our list. I'd imagine that Hearts already have their targets and so he would know the names at the very least.

It would be interesting to see if there are any players that have been picked up. I don't think calibre of the club comes into question, more so the stats and suitability to the league for the analytics. The price isn't usually over the top in comparison to sell on, judging by Brighton.

Dougie, did you think Walter got his teams playing the "beautiful game"? Not at all, but he was very good at grinding out wins. That's what we need just now. I'm not at all excited to watch us next season, but if we're successful I'll not care one bit.
