According to reports in Belgium Rangers have Contacted Westerlo over American RB Bryan Reynolds over a possible deal player only has 1 year left on his contract with the Belgium club

Rangers Review with the usual communication confirming "consideration" and "on a list".

Ehl, you might be able to tell me I'm being irrationally impatient here, but if we've been talking about these transfers since the Spain camp surely they should be further along than on a list. I'm being an ar$e ain't I?. ?

Ayrshire, for our main / priority targets, the deals are all pretty much provisionally done and dusted.

For the deals that are dependent on a chain, then it's pretty much like spinning plates.

Players and agents will know of our interest and conversations will have happened, but they'll also be speaking to multiple other clubs, and the goal posts will constantly be changing.

If you look at RB in particular, we will have our priority target list that we'll have been really aggressive in progressing as we knew Tav was leaving.

However, with buying clubs interested in Sterling, we'll be having lots of conversations all based on if, buts and maybes - we'll also lose out on a number of these as other clubs may be in a position to commit to deals sooner.

Ayrshire, I feel you're being impatient, remember windo not open yet.

We just love hearing who we r getting.

Derby want Sterling, I'd sell.

09 Jun 2026 20:22:49
Do you know how much Derby County are willing to pay for Dujon Sterling, John. ? If we do sell Sterling, we'll need to sign 2 right backs, and we've been linked with a few i.e. Luca Stephenson, Nathan Patterson, Ross McCrorie,
Hampus Skoglund and now the American right back Bryan Reynolds.

? I honestly did think we'd go all in to sign Skoglund, but god knows as now this new right back Bryan Reynolds is reckoned to be in the mix. ?

Nah, I know I'm being impatient, John. Am I correct in saying it opens on Monday? I think it's kind of the curse of doing the Shankland deal so quick. Really pleasing, but then it's like, right next one, you see Hearts and others making signings, and you want the club to move it along, but I'm confident we'll all be pleased when the window closes and our squad is hopefully through its final "major rebuild".

09 Jun 2026 20:25:40
Also, thanks for that. EHL makes a lot of sense, and on Sterling I would absolutely move him on.

09 Jun 2026 20:50:25
We need 2 x RBs anyway as we can't rely on Sterling unfortunately.

09 Jun 2026 21:04:21
Not being impatient, Murph, just because the window isn't open doesn't mean we can't have deals concluded and announced just like Shankland.

I would bet it's more in line with what EHL has said, the moving parts, but I'd rather secure our targets and then try and move the others, as like EHL said.

We will miss out if we don't pull the trigger quick enough and hesitate because certain players may or may not move on.

09 Jun 2026 21:16:25
Walter, keep Sterling. We still need two RBs, never reliable.

Rumour about 1.2 million many, saving million a season on salary.

09 Jun 2026 21:22:24
I like Sterling When he is fit.

What I don't understand is why anyone would consider buying him, given his injury record.

That same question applies to us as a club. We've made some terrible investments in players with known horrendous injury records.

09 Jun 2026 22:15:58
From looking at his stats, he looks like the middle ground between Tav and Sterling. He creates 1.80 chances per 90 minutes. 0.34 big chances per 90. 5.53 touches in opposition box per 90. 54.2% successful dribbles per 90.

0.54 dribbled past per 90.
He isn't as solid with assists or goals as Tav, and isn't as solid defensively as Sterling, but does both jobs well enough, plus seems suited to a high pressing team.

If Derby want Stirling, just do a straight swap for Max Johnston. Played abroad, European experience, and still only 22.

10 Jun 2026 06:49:14
Problem for me (as it is every year), we have 'our main / priority targets' for positions required, (& we have a few!!). How many of these translate into actually top of the list players? Or do we end up filling slots with players of lesser ability or sell on? Who are 3rd, 4th choices on that list??

10 Jun 2026 07:41:10
"?⚪️ Rangers FC have submitted an offer worth around EUR2.5 million for Bryan Reynolds that has been rejected by Westerlo and is unwilling to let him leave for that amount.

?? Should other clubs enter the race, Reynolds has already given Rangers the green light regarding a potential move."

Sacha Tavolieri on 'X'.

No chance I'm selling Sterling for 1.2m, far too good of a player even with injuries! Much better as a squad player for that money. Can see why people want Reid but not for me.
