Any news on pierce Charles think we should sign this lad at any cost.
06 Jun 2026 16:35:24
Said it many times. We don't sign Pierce Charles now we'll never get any other chance, BigjBear.
06 Jun 2026 17:10:01
Sheffield Wed wanting like 10m for him. Likely won't go that high, but his old club Man City are interested also now.
06 Jun 2026 17:23:01
Can't risk spending £10m on him if that's the price.
06 Jun 2026 17:34:15
25/26 - 34 games lost through shoulder injury (2 occasions) - possibly a risk, imo, especially at a big price? ?
06 Jun 2026 18:32:11
Both Manchester sides are credited with an interest. If true, we can't match what they offer, but could maybe get him on loan should he go to either.
06 Jun 2026 19:24:19
I've not seen anything of the guy. Is he that special? Honestly, have no idea. No way a League 1 player is going anywhere for 19 million, surely.
06 Jun 2026 19:30:50
The shoulder stuff, he recovered well on both occasions and it was different shoulder each time, also can be quite common for keeper to injure shoulder, hand or wrist.
Like I said before prob one of best I've seen with ball at his feet, handling a bit weak, tends to put ball back into danger area but he's one of best options, certainly better than Patterson.
06 Jun 2026 19:34:55
Forever Rangers, who's Patterson the goalie we're linked with?
06 Jun 2026 20:28:59
Anthony Patterson, Millwall.
06 Jun 2026 20:35:52
Forever, so he has two bad shoulders. Better hurry and sign him.
06 Jun 2026 20:39:00
Patterson was on loan at Millwall from Sunderland, who are rumoured to be looking for £8m - £10m.
Wrexham, Millwall, and Wolves are reportedly interested.
06 Jun 2026 20:46:59
I thought we'd already sorted a new keeper, to be announced? I assumed he'd be our new number 1 whoever he is.
06 Jun 2026 20:52:17
Woodman would be a good signing for Rangers, he's out of contact, but not sure if Liverpool offered him another contract. Always impressed me when watching him playing for Preston.
06 Jun 2026 21:02:07
Well, one thing's for sure, we need a keeper who can use his feet. Butland is, or at least was, an excellent shot stopper, but is unpredictable when kicking the ball oot, tends to go anywhere. Think a top end keeper is a shot stopper who can play with his feet and organise a defence.
06 Jun 2026 21:12:51
I don't think Charles is the answer tbh, two injured shoulders in one season isn't a good look, especially the second one, which kept him out for 24 games. Might be good at the ball with his feet, but it's a goalkeeper for a reason. No point in bringing him in to sit on the treatment table for half the season.
06 Jun 2026 21:23:06
Strong Rumours that we are all in for a German keeper (Ernst?). I would be happy with that - first and foremost I want a keeper who commands the 6 yard box and organises the defence in front of him.
06 Jun 2026 21:35:39
Angus Gunn on a freebie. ?♂️?
06 Jun 2026 21:45:12
Timo Horn is a name that we have been linked to recently.
06 Jun 2026 21:59:56
And when you are in your seventh decade, three years ago is recent.
06 Jun 2026 22:01:06
Aphe has posted Tjark Ernst (GK) a few times, but don't know if Rangers are remotely interested in signing him.
06 Jun 2026 22:04:58
John 2575 your trying too hard i made an assessment of the player a fair one. mentioned his flaws and his attributes as i seen them having been a keeper myself just my opinions
But! You make stuff up at which point did i say we should sign him i said if the club sign him i'd keep Butland or Kelly around him to learn.
At no point did i say i wanted to sign him.
So your cheap shot dig failed i'm really trying to be more considerate of people but your not making that any easier maybe you should look at your own behaviours also.
I respect you as a poster. But reapect can be lost or earned
07 Jun 2026 09:13:41
I ain't seen much of the boy, but the injuries worry me, and we would be stuck with Liam Kelly for a good part of the season. On the flip side, he may never get another injury again, like any signing, it's a gamble.
07 Jun 2026 11:15:45
Forever, I make nothing up. I don't know what u mean by cheap dig. I'll make unhappy and scroll past in future.
Myposghurry and sign him is my view given our history of signing players with an injury history, most recent examples Naderi and Rommens.
Not once do I mention u said we should sign him.
07 Jun 2026 12:08:23
Rommens had missed 6 games in his career so far before he joined us. Not sure I would call that an injury history. Are we only going to sign players with no injury history? Just as well we weren't offered Messi then, who has 49 different injuries across his career. ?
07 Jun 2026 12:28:14
Timo Horn (Germany, 33), GK, currently playing for VfL Bochum in Germany, and also played with FC Koln.
Can't say it's a name we have been linked with recently, but might have missed the post.
