Just sharing info i was given to see if anyone else has heard this ? Now obviously i don't know how true this is or how possible this would be but i was told late last night that steven gerrard to be appointed our new manager and Danny Rohl will remain as assistant to gerrard and talks are at an advanced stage ? Gerrard's backroom team will be Rohl and at least one former Rangers player from the past ? Again it's only what i was told and sharing it with you all ?

I'd be shocked at that tbh. Rohl is trying to forge a career as a head coach/manager, so to step back would basically end his aspirations. What future employer would look at that positively?

I'd actually heard the same, Coops, but I can't see Rohl stepping aside after holding down the main gig. Unless he's happy to coach and leave the rest to a manager? Who knows, time will tell.

Not getting at anyone here, but that just seems a bit far fetched, can't see Rohl stepping back to an assistant (what would that say for the ambition of the guy), I don't think he is the man for us, love Gerrard but I think the Muscat should be the 1 we go for again.

Players today are having a send off for Tav apparently and the manager has been asked to stay away.
No clue if this is legit but I've seen it in a few places now.
Look, Rohl might be staying on, I have no clue at this point, but he will be helped by most of the squad leaving so he can start fresh.
Do I want him to stay? Nope, but honestly, who knows what's coming.

Honestly, too much has been made of the players possibly asking him to stay away. Tav might have beef with Rohl, and the player might have asked him to stay away, as it's Tav's send-off, that's if it even has happened.

Danny Rohl won't be working as an assistant to Steven Gerrard.
Danny Rohl has already won the Champions League as a coach. He was assistant manager at Bayern and Germany. For 4 years he worked under the current Barcelona manager, who is no doubt on a different planet from Gerrard when it comes to managerial ability.
Why would Danny Rohl take a step back and become a number 2 in Scotland? If he wanted to remain as a number 2, he would be working for Barcelona right now. Danny has chosen to be his own man.
Gerrard, Barry Ferguson, and Danny Rohl won't be working as assistant managers again.
