It could be a blessing. If not 110% committed, missing family or whatever, then best to go. With the old guard going, Tav and maybe Butland, this could be the time for a proper reset.
Yes, not his team, but we are missing something I hoped he would install by now, the hunger and grit we need to succeed.
No one's bigger than the club. We'd move on, and hopefully get the guy we need in the door.

U can't give people hunger and grit in 6 months, unfortunately, Shota. It's got to come from them. Not just singling him out, but how many different managers has Tav been through as our leader / captain, just to keep repeating about needing to learn from the same thing.

Priority must be a new strong Club Captain. Someone who can motivate our team and demand the best from them. Tav was a great servant to the Club, but a commanding leader he is not. Without an individual that commands respect, then we're going to keep p****** in the wind.

I don't think we will get Patterson. I think the 2 we sign in that position will be Hampus Skoglund and Ross McCrorie. Would also like to add, while McLean is a good player, he's not much different to getting a quality loan player in the amount of ground he will need to cover with us.
I think we will get 1/2 seasons max out him. We should of went and got him 2/3 years ago.

RFC, I would love us to somehow be able to sign Lewis Ferguson from Bologna, make him our new captain and build round him. ? I honestly don't know what the fee would be or if we could afford him, but that's my thoughts anyway. ? ??

Think Ferguson, as good as it would be, will be out of our price range. Gilmour, I'd also love to see, but think again could be too costly. Both would be a dream. ?

It would be worth signing Ferguson as long as we're all in agreement he'll be sold in 3 years to recoup the fee.

Ferguson and Billy are definitely not going to come here. Ferguson, turning 28, will go to the WC and get the move to the EPL that he is after. Maybe Ferguson in 5+ years or if EPL move stagnates.
Gilmour is probably even less achievable, just bought a lovely house in Naples this year.
