What I will say is, who needs external media fueling the fire of discontent when the so called fan media are so willing to do so.
It is to be noted that heart and hand could not hide their support and then disappointment at Gerrard not getting the job.
It just happens to be so predictable that it is heart and hand to break this news story.

Aphe, Heart & Hand are one fan media group that go our of their way to report facts in my experience listening to them. They tend not to report anything unless there is credence to it.

I'm pretty sure that DR is committed to seeing out his deal, and would be really surprised if he walks away this season - especially as the club are working on a complete overhaul of the first team training facilities and coaching staff to align with DR demands / requests.

I think it's funny fans talking about Rohl leaving when half the fans left the team at 3-2 down Sunday, even though there was still time remaining.
Look, it's not an attack on fans, because they were brilliant Sunday. We were really at our best supporting the team, unfortunately players are taking us and opponents for granted, turning up thinking they can play like a training session, and they can't even argue the point when you see the difference in the second half.
But why fans leaving when a third to make it 3-3 could have seen us stay above Celtic, but fans were walking away. Shameful in my book, and I usually defend the right for people to walk because long travel and the like, but that was not what yesterday was. It was surrender from the fans, which I can't accept.

It's all about opinions and, for me, Askou has Motherwell playing the most attractive football in the league. Scoring plenty goals, and conceding less than us. Imagine what Askou could do with a massive budget compared to what he's had at Motherwell.
Yes, they hit a rough patch of form before yesterday, but what team hasn't this season.
I think if Rohl left, Askou would definitely have to be considered.

I respect your opinion, Foolmonty, but my opinion is it would be a massive backwards step.
I may be unfair, but I have had a lot more than 10 months of seeing Askou as a manager to base my opinion on, and it is probably the reason why I won't change my mind based on 10 months here.
His only real success was in the Faroe Islands, and if we are looking for successful managers at that standard of league, then look no further than very successful former Rangers player David Healy.

I don't believe Rohl will leave this summer. But if he did, I would go and get the Motherwell manager immediately. They play the best brand of football in Scotland. I've watched them all season, and the little passages of play, the way they move, it's fantastic. I heard one commentator say he would love to know what they do in training. The Motherwell manager took very little, and made of it something more.
In fact, I fully expect Celtic to hire the Motherwell manager at the end of the season, and think they would be fools if they didn't.
They can look further abroad if they like, but what is to stop them hiring another Wilfred Nancy? There is a manager in Scotland who is getting the job done on a budget.
People looked down their nose at McInnes, now he is top of the league with Hearts. Many have said they want a manager that knows the league. That guy at Motherwell knows what he's doing. They went to Ibrox and did not sit in, they played football. The value of the Motherwell players is soaring because of the way they play and how much that manager is getting out of them.

The issue I currently have with Rohl (and his staff) is the naivety in game. I think he makes good changes at the break, but in game his instruction seldom works. For example, Stephen O'Donnell played 65 mins at left back and there was never a thought to move Gassama to the right and ask him to take him on 1v1 on his weaker foot or to bring Antman on to do that. The substitute to bring on Barron was baffling as well - I don't think we even needed to make a change as we had the momentum. The selection of not playing Tavernier at Ibrox will never not sit well with me, the pitch is huge, we have so much of the ball and opportunities to cross it and Sterling simply can't do that. I can support Sterling playing away from home but not at Ibrox ahead of our best attacking threat.
I think we're now stuck with a manager who likely won't get sacked or leave on his own accord, who no one really, deep down, believes he'll bring us success. There's another huge overhaul required and a flip in identification in strategy. Rangers for me have never been 1000 passes a goal, our best teams have been aggressive and attack quickly. I don't think we need a coach or manager who brings that style but I'm not sure Rohl really knows what he is as a coach on his own accord just yet and we are witnessing that on the field. I hope they've got the bs to beat Hearts and Celtic and go all but win it v Hibs, but a big ask. Sorry for the long post.

Is the club making the same mistakes as before, announcing these sorts of things before season over (tav now Rohl rumour)? Did we not do similar with Clement and likes of Hagi and Lawrence.
Think there is a lot of negative stories going around Rangers right now, and for me it's dark side fans trying to unsettle the team, playing the media game for any edge they can get.

I think there is more similarities with Askou and Martin than with Postecoglu, and if the players don't all buy in like they have at Motherwell, it crumbles like we've seen with two Of managers this season. Implementing under intense pressure of needing to win is way different than implementing with very little expectation on your team.
