Ryan Don Naderi has apparently handed in a transfer request at Hansa Rostock to force his move to Rangers.

28 Jan 2026 22:22:13
That's what yer wanting to see. Hopefully speeds it up now.

28 Jan 2026 23:05:08
Sounds like a troublemaker ?.

29 Jan 2026 01:06:26
Handing in a transfer request doesn't really change anything, his club are willing to grant his request at the price they want.

29 Jan 2026 02:26:45
Fired Rohl it changes a lot.

His club now have an unhappy player, his team mates and fans know he doesn't want to be there anymore. There's not always a way back for a player aftet this.

He'll get his move somewhere in the middle of the 2 fees with the difference being structured in a way we're happier with.

29 Jan 2026 08:15:20
Stevie so what about two transfer windows time when a club down south want him and we aren't happy with the price. would you be just as happy him putting in a transfer request then.

his club have said they are happy for him to move if we pay what they want, so don't see what the request does other than show he might do the same to us.

29 Jan 2026 08:50:50
Angus any player can do that so I wouldn't be worried about an if he does come plays well a then wants to move on you don't keep an unhappy player. Rostock keeping him now could dent their promotion.

29 Jan 2026 09:25:30
Its madness that a German 3rd tier team as are making demands in excess of €3m for a player who do they think they are.

29 Jan 2026 09:32:57
Don't know the full story but Putting in a transfer request is different from refusing to play etc. Often just means they wave the rights to certain bonuses like loyalty bonus or percentage of sale etc to try and push through the move. Doesn't mean he's a trouble maker.

{Ed001's Note - it only really means they waive their right to the 5% cut of the transfer fee they are otherwise entitled to.}

29 Jan 2026 09:55:39
If teams down there looking at him he would have to be playing very well angus. We need to be selling at least 2 players a season for good money, if he was one then so be it.

29 Jan 2026 10:07:38
just don't like it Storm and don't see difference if it benefits ro goes against us. yes any player could but I want ours to honour our contracts or leave amicably.

29 Jan 2026 10:11:05
Angus just to add context. Rostock had bids from Salzburg and I believe it was Mainz of €2m. The club stated the price was €3m.

Rangers then bid €3m and the club said they needed time to find a replacement. Naderi told the club he wants to go to Rangers and in the following 24 hours Rostock decided they wanted a club record €5.1m transfer and were willing to wait till the summer to get this fee. The player isn't willing to wait to the summer as he was told he'd be allowed to move if the price was met. It was met and they moved the goalposts so he's handed in a transfer request.

If we done the same I would expect the player to do the same. This is different from saying Igamane as he downed tools at the first sign of a bid and feigned injury Vs St Mirren when his team needed him. Naderi had a hat trick of assists in the game before our bid and scored a last minute winner the game before that.

Kaiser - go find a sense of humour.

29 Jan 2026 13:24:08
Ayrshire I appreciate the context and can even possibly see why the player might take that action. doesn't mean I like it though. I agree it doesn't make him a trouble maker as well.

29 Jan 2026 13:33:50
AngThe a u Der the circumstances that we're aware of now if the same were to happen with us in 18 months time it wouldn't bother me.
Transfer requests don't bother me as much as they would others mate as I don't take football as serious as others these days.

If he signs for us there will be a buyout instead and if that's met he'll be off.
Same as with iga.

29 Jan 2026 14:36:48
I understand your POV mate but as I said anyone can do it. Its only alleged also.

29 Jan 2026 12:55:18
His team are getting greedy
And jumped from accepting there value of him from 3 mill they said at first to just over 5.1 that's there prerogative. but now have an unhappy player ah he thought he would get his move to us with 3 being accepted

Angus if you thought you where missing out on your dream job due to your old boss not playing ball, or holing back a reference ext

You to would be unsettled n unhappy
It's a player showing desire to move on
Nothing wrong with this

Refusing to train
Spitting the dummy
Feigning injury
A would be more worried about a player like that Angus.

bluedreamer. football contracts different. In my line of work I can just resign; doesn't need to be any notice as long as replacing me doesn't cost anything. and it may be surprising to everyone but it wouldn't ?.

can people honestly say that if Raskin handed in his notice we would be happy. that would affect the price we get. 2 ends of same sh*tty stick.

I can understand why he is doing it but as I say I don't have to agree or like it. in the grand scheme of things it doesn't make any difference what I think anyway. ?.
