We need to stop playing Aaron at Lb and stop playing Dowell as a RW, Dowell was at fault for there Goal looked like he had given up and Aaron keeps coming in field and leaving gaps at LB, i would much rather see Curtis or Cameron on RW instead of Dowell.

Problem for me is he takes to long to change the personal and for his system to work we need to be on the move constantly we have no pace and are to slow to implement his style so if the players aren't doing it play the players that will
We were lucky that we didn't get beat and we never threatened Motherwell
Without the pace up front we allow them to be at leat 10 yard up the pitch which then gives us problems as we do t move the ball quicker
Hopefully Martin realises or it will be along season.

Let's be honest what's actually changed? Same clueless style of play, same comments of "not acceptable " from the manager. Again Tav scores for us how can he be our scorer when we have others that are capable of scoring?
So 1st game of the season and already 2 points behind and looking for favours from other teams, I fear this could be another long season of countless excuses and pressers stating the same old failings

Apparently according to some who are in a constant state of denial and can't see what's happening in front of them you're not allowed to criticise the side. From what I've seen so far worries me! At no point did we change shape, tactics or adopt a different approach! All over the place.
Early days and Martin dwarves the benefit of the doubt as things stand but it's not looking good at all. It's difficult to see what we are actually trying to do a times! I'm genuinely puzzled!

We couldn't win last season with the 3 strikers we have. What's changed? Nothing! We dominated the game with no end product!
Last year we had Cerny as a credible threat this year Dowel. The board needs to dig deep and get an attacking goal scoring striker and wingers that can score and set up some goals.

Play like that against Czechoslovakian side Viktoria Pfizen in a few days and our defence will get punished, they play with a talented direct attack of 1 CAM and 2 CFs and they have 2 talented young african lads they have from Nigeria and Ghana to bring on once our defence is exhausted who will leave our backline for dust.
Play like that against Celtic in a few weeks and it'll be a cricket score against us in our own stadium.
Still not convinced Martin is the right manager to take us where we want to go.
Farioli was the one we should have signed, Porto snapped him up though he's already gutting the dross out of there side, sold 75 mill and spent 88, strengthening in key positions with high calibre young talent.
Anyway not much we can do now, RM was obviously the best the new board could get.

Newquay we don't have players we can sell for the millions Porto did. If RM is to succeed he has to start by not playing the guys who've let is down for years and thst starts with the captain also it's clear danilo isn't equipped to play the line striker and dowell i'm sorry bet he offers little finally if we insist in playing raskin and dio in these areas that they clearly feel uncomfortable in we will see there value decrease and nullify 2 of our better players.

Few very good points here. Yes new style, new players etc takes time, whilst sum signings have been exciting very little has moved on stopping us from getting more in. can't expect anyone to work miracles with more or less same team that's struggled for few years. We cannot expect instant success it has to build, style needs time, players need to gel that is the same at any club with new managers, players etc however we should still be beating Motherwell much more results like that and i fear Martins stay will be short lived . . . We as fans have very little patience due to prev success.

I don't think we can properly judge RM until the starting 11 isn't made up of 7/ 8 players rolled forward from prior year (s) .
The mentality of the team has been questioned by several managers/ coaches, if this is an issue then this won't change with same players. Therefore, until the new players signed are integrated in the starting 11 I don't think we can expect things to improve or the outcome of games to be different from last year, as it's essentially the same team.
So despite being disappointed, I think it's too early to say this is a failure, this year was always going to be difficult, expectations have to be tempered. What I want to see between now and Christmas is progression, there will be some terrible results along the way, particularly this month, but i think we need to stick with it till Christmas at least.

I agree with your summation but I don't think it's the previous success that's the cause of the expectations, it's the hope, year after year, that we'll get better and the takeover only increased that, and that hope is slowly seeping away unfortunately. I think that's the cause of the reactions.

The issue we have had with the the last 3/ 4 manager's is they don't learn. One philosophy does not fit all. Motherwell were an inferior team to Panathinkos and yet were the better team.

Think yesterday will draw a lot of mixed responses, some reasonable and some wildly over the top with emotion potentially. I think in spells yesterday the way the ball was knocked about showed what he's trying to implement but unfortunately for every one time it looked smooth we had 2/ 3 heart attacks. I think aarons looks completely awkward out on the left back position, dowell doesn't have many fans behind him in general never mind playing him out of position. Think time will tell with the players supposedly coming in designed to suit this system better.

I agree with some of the comments we are an impatient bunch and I do include myself in that statement. This makes us overly critical not that some of them aren't warranted especially concerning players with poor attitudes.
But we need to stick behind our team through thick and at this moment thin we need to be more passionate and louder than any other fans for another team make these players know its okay to make mistakes sometimes as long as u give everything to the club.

Salenko Supreme before you start calling others embarrassing you might want to get your facts right . That squad did not lose home and away to Motherwell, we drew the only game at Fir Park 2-2 and in fact out with the play off game have not lost there in over 20 years.
You call out somebodies opinion of Rothwell but slag off Connor Barron a young player just starting his career at a big club and you criticise Bajrami and Dowell, two players I don't rate, but why do you have the right to criticise but others don't.
I don't know about being no better than Lowry but Rothwell certainly shouldn't be picked at No 6 before Raskin and so far he's not even a patch on the much criticised Lundstram.

Manager and new style of play aside. A front 3 of Danilo, Dowell and Curtis last season would have been mocked, and yet that's been our core front line as we start the season.
Add to that - our captain is 2 seasons past his best, but is given priority over a player in his prime in RB position, and completely imbalance on the left forcing Aaron and Raskin out of natural position is senseless.
Our only hope is that yesterday the manager got a wake up call and will now make decisions that get the best out of players who 'deserve' the jersey.
Loyalty isn't working.
Just look at how many chances the Well centre half had yesterday and how often he received the ball, and compare than to £5m Danilo (and I'm not laying all blame at his door as service was terrible)
Rather than over-reaction - it's time simply for a reaction and RM needs to work out who's in - and who's not……….
Surely we can get 11-14 players to challenge Motherwell or any other SPL side - We are Rangers!

Once again the blame Tav stuff starts, I know he scored but . So what happens if he hadn't scored we would have lost 1-0 and even if you blame him for the Well goal its still a draw 0-0 if he's not there. Ironic that he was able to do what none of our centre backs are able to do and head in a corner . Just a pity he hasn't been able to cross balls to himself all these years.
I do think he's coming to the end of the road but the tactics and the cover he gets on his side isn't helping him .
