Sandy Easdale is a massive Rangers fan, I'm not even going to argue with anyone over that. He has been going to watch Rangers home and abroad for over 30 years. He knows the club badly needs investment funding, stadium repairs. He knows this. This is why he's been adding to his shares. The Easdales are worth 1.4 billion. The 49ers know this, and have asked sandy to come on board and help save the deal. The current guys running the club, as you all well know, have run us into the ground.

Agree7 Disagree0

Wait didn't you just tell us the takeover is in doubt? ? ?.

17 Apr 2025 16:59:52
What a coincidence this was released this morning in the press and now we have you on here telling us that you have inside info and the takeover is now in doubt don't like calling out posters but I suspect your chatting BS and maybe on the wrong site.

17 Apr 2025 17:04:04
Jason, seems another worried tim.

17 Apr 2025 17:08:28
The deal does not need saving and if it did buying 2.5 % of the shares wouldn't save any deal.

17 Apr 2025 17:09:10
The club badly needed funding and stadium repairs etc when he was in cahoots with Ashley n co before.

17 Apr 2025 17:14:47
And if they down buy Easdale's shares rather than just invite him into the deal then his shares won't allow them to get closer to the 51%. try harder and also down post 2 contrary posts right next to one another. and tell your alter ego Mossblown bear he/ you need to try harder as well.

17 Apr 2025 18:03:22
A smell rubbish.

17 Apr 2025 18:39:22
Unbelievable that somebody comes on here and praises Easdale and accuses the current board of running the club into the ground . They may have run out of cash to invest but let's not forget that the current owners rescued the club from the previous ownership who were selling off all the family silver . The previous ownership included the Easdales and their pal Ashley who really were running the club into the ground . If they really are such big Rangers fans then why did they allow the club to get into such a state under their stewardship . They should sell their shares to the Americans and stay away from Ibrox. Nobody wants them anywhere near the club.

17 Apr 2025 18:55:32
Jack Irvine has been busy today.

17 Apr 2025 19:37:03
So do the people of Birmingham East Belfast.

17 apr 2025 20:13:34
why should two Rangers fans stay away from ibrox,

17 Apr 2025 22:15:03
Bring in the army jfm.

17 Apr 2025 22:22:47
Sandy easdale one of the people who introduced mile Ashley to Rangers Aye! Bollocks! Easdales only want £ and nothing else.

18 apr 2025 00:25:41
far as i'm aware, and i have it on good authority the easdales didn't take a penny peice out of Rangers and have been fans all their lives

they hated now too, by people who didn't put a penny peice in.

18 Apr 2025 04:08:29
Correct Tom. Seems some fans are reading bs gossip in papers or online press as I've never heard that easdales brought Ashley to rangers. Never.

18 Apr 2025 07:14:26
You're absolutely spot on TT12 ???.

18 apr 2025 07:21:49
said it many times stevie, we have an unhealthy disdain for fellow Rangers supporters if they're ex players or guys who put something in.

18 Apr 2025 09:26:16
Let's not kid ourselves. The Easdales may be fans, but they were complicit to a lot of goings on with Ashley. They seen a chance to get in with the big boys in business and they took it.

TT, a lot of our fan base can be toxic but a some of our Rangers supporting players and benefactors are not good for the club either. People are entitled to opinions.

18 Apr 2025 09:31:18
Also to add to that pieter if your unfortunate enough to come from the same area as them you would know what shady characters they really are started from organised crime and still in and about it to this day would rather they are no where near our club personally.

18 Apr 2025 10:39:11
I'm curious to ask. Why would the tims be worried about our takeover?
A takeover does not guarentee success. With FFP rules we can't just throw money at it and the tims have champions league money again next season to out muscle any of our spending. I don't think they are worried, maybe being a bit mischievous. I'm surprised people are actually rising to their bait.

18 Apr 2025 11:38:31
Dgers 87 if this takeover goes ahead which looks very likely you can spend 70% of your income, our income was 88 million which roughly equates to 64.million, I'm in no way saying this amount will happen, also we have made approximately 12.4 million from Europe, the other lot yes do have champions league cash, but they also have damages to pay for the recent court case, also I'm sure the court costs for both sides as Thompsons proved there case, that won't be cheap, I think it all depends on who we retain in the summer as to how much we spend on transfers, personally I'd keep both keepers, souttar Tav raskin cerney dessers Igname 50-50 on diamonde yilmaz, jefte sell barahmi sell, mcausland sell Cortez sell if possible Barron sell, rice one for the future, in that scenario I think we need to be spending 25-35 million, will it happen?

18 Apr 2025 13:10:33
Whether the Easdales brought Ashley to the club or not, it is undeniable that they were part of the set up when he was asset stripping the club . Remember the deal to sell our badge for a £1.When the current board and King stepped in and saved the club, we had no saleable assets on the pitch and were tied into all sorts of sponsorship deals that were contributing almost nothing to us and it took us years to get free of . Real Rangers men would not have stood for this never mind been complicit as they were .
If they are supporters still then that's fine let them buy their season tickets and come and watch us anytime they want although I thought they had put money into Morton, so shouldn't they be supporting them.

18 Apr 2025 13:13:13
We won't spend £20m in the summer witeshark nevermind the 70% of our income. If anything it might just get us a step closer to financial parity with Celtic but even with the takeover we still have a bit to go to achieve parity.

Its another summer rebuild with a another manager, instant success is far from guarenteed. As I said I don't think they are worried just yet. I think they are at wind up.

18 Apr 2025 13:24:08
Dgers these new owners will bring in plenty funds through sponsorship and other means, this is what they are very good at, pre season games in USA with bring is serious cash for us, they will want us being successful as fast as possible.

18 Apr 2025 14:13:40
I know they want to be successful quickly, that's obvious. It means access to Champions League money. However spending big money does not guarentee success. Just look at our spending since 55, around £50m spent on players without success. We have to change how we identify players. We also have to ensure that we get the next manager right. There is a lot more to success than just income. Admittedly a greater income helps.

18 Apr 2025 14:45:21
That was my reason for tims being concerned coldo.

18 apr 2025 16:49:24
so, because they donated money to they're local, very small club, they should stop being Rangers fans l
aye right, utter drivel,

have you evidence of anything you accuse these people of?

18 apr 2025 16:51:23
wsl, are you actually " allowing them to come and watch us "

probably both been to more Rangers games than you and deserve better seeing as you don't know them eh

i don't know them well at all, i do know they've always been big Rangers people.

18 Apr 2025 16:59:31
If your question is to me tomthumb if your from inverclyde then you will know what they're all about isn't really a secret if you want to know more, then a bit of re search and you will find out this thread is about Rangers so that's what I will keep it about.

18 Apr 2025 17:12:04
Am I not right in saying they need to play qualifiers for champions league next season? So they won't be guaranteed the money, will be a nervy qualifier for them and as always there are decent quality teams in the final qualifiers.

18 Apr 2025 18:53:57
They do Stu; they need to play one and we need to play 2 (I Think) . if Celtic lose they enter EL league phase and if we lose we would need to play qualifier (s) to get onto league phase of EL. not 100% sure of exact part if this yet.

18 apr 2025 23:30:32
please tell m3 how a " benefactor" isn't good.
