Poor Rommens. He was the new Arthur Numan 6 months ago. When he's back fully fit hell be a great player for us and him and JP on the left is great competition for places.

Had Rommens not got injured again, there was serious talk of him joining Brugge before the window closed. I hope he does come back fully fit and raring to go but he's going to have take his game up a level if he's going to dislodge Penrice from the team. Strong competition is always healthy. I just hope he can stay fit.

McInnes said that Rommens might be available for the second Celtic game, but given the fact that there was a three week break coming up , there was no point in rushing him back in my opinion .Give him the three weeks to get some real training in and he should be ready for the Killie game . Makes sense to me.

I'd keep both til the summer incase of injury however if we move Rommens on in January then Robbie Fraser should be his replacement for a year or 2 til young scally is ready to compete.
