Interesting to see how much game time Rommens gets in coming months, being out of Europe will hamper it big time and possible be midweek games in league if he's to get start at all, could of seen both on park in harder away euro games or even later in game when trying to hold on to something, an injury to CB if we are playing 3 at back is also a position that he could fill, anyway good problem to have with quality in squad.

With the way we play and the way Penrice plays it's all action so I imagine Rommens will come on for 20 mins most games then rotate from the start in certain games. At the moment the shirts Penrices but I expect when Rommens is fit to push him all the way and really raise both their games.
Hoping the same happens when Nedeljkovic gets fit for RB.

Great post Coopersdad what with the euphoria of beating them twice, I had honestly forgotten about Rommens. With the way Penrice is playing and his understanding with Gassama I wouldn't be changing that side of our team anytime soon.

It's now Penrices shirt to loose but healthy competition is needed in a successful team. I'm delighted to have both I really think both are class left backs. it's the best our left side of defence has looked for many years.

Exactly Wallace, healthy competition makes players train harder, we want players to be fighting for positions all over the park. For years we've had players know that no matter how they train or play there position in the team was safe, creates bad feelings amongst the players.

It's very interesting and he might reflect on his own style. Hopefully that's the case.
I said a few weeks back that I didn't think we can play Sterling and Rommens to good effect because we need at least one full back to give us an attacking threat, which wouldn't be the case if he was to play the way he did previously.
Like other have said it's a good problems for DM to have.

Its strange how people think Rommens can't get back in team, last seasons he was a great addition and getting loads of praise as is penrice however I wouldn't be disappointed if Rommens is playing instead of penrice his delivery into box is excellent and links well with midfield.
I think because of his injury and how penrice is playing some have forgotten how good he actually is. Its a squad game use them both where required.

I think Rommens could be sent on loan with option for €10m to Brugge.
I think in turn we'll go for siquet from Brugge in summer as he's out for foreseeable just now. Past January anyway. €8-10m valuation.

McMillst, I think Rommens played very well last year, however I didn't think he was as effective in an attacking sense as what Penrice has been.

Zikos Rommens is a class act mate but as we've learned on here he has a back issue that is causing him problems in other areas, he could play for any club in spl but of course some have better options but he's good enough. he'd play for most uoto too 8 level roughly.
Penrice looks twice the player of Rommens so far imo, he's smashing it he's like prime Davie Robertson wirh a left peg if prime barasic.
Hes beem absolutely incredible so far.
Rommens ability wise is top drawer. Seems his injuries are going to stop him moving to top level clubs.

Why would we go for siquet( no nothing about him)if he is out for foreseeable future, just what we need and other injury prone player.
Why would Brugge give us 10m for Rommens who is also injury prone.

Jasp I build up an opinion based on rumours and stories mate.
I believe we definitely wanted siquet and we're willing to pay £8 brotish for him. They wouldn't entertain us. Then wanted Rommens. I'm guessing Rommens value. I thought a swap would happen tik Rommens got injured.
We got the Villa rb aftet that. Siquet was supposedly a top target.
I could see both going opposite way when fit. Just in seperate deals cause if ffp.
I'm sure the lads in the know would back me up on siquet.
John forst broke Brugge aftet Rommens I believe.
