Okay, finally got down from Cloud 9, probably on 7 just now and trying to focus at work.
What a senatorial few weeks. The team seems very balanced and everybody clearly knows what's expected from them.
Our recruitment has been outstanding, best I can remember from the Dick Advocate years, who in fairness had some misses as well.
I hope that the team can continue this momentum with some of the smaller more defensive teams in the league, I've no reason to suggest they won't, I just hope the attitude and mentality are the same regardless of opponent.
For the first time, I'm not stressing about a rebuild but more worried that we lose players on January, I guess it's a nice place to be.
It's hard to see a weak link in that starting 11, ie il not sure who you'd want to replace? Even Fernandez who I'm not the biggest fan of, got his head onto everything once I'd claimed down. Wingers, full backs, forwards all outstanding with people on the bench to backfill if required. This is the best centre mid combination I can remember in 15 years, probably going back to Ferguson, Davis and Mendez days.
The age of the squad is great as well, there's an argument that we've not peaked yet.

Fernandez fantastic in the air and mopped up everything. Its when the balls on the ground are the issues. lucky not to be sent off yesterday after 16 mins, no idea how St Mirren didn't also get a pen at Ibrox for his challenge and his scare pass away at Falkirk.
Could have made the last few weeks a very different picture. he's very fortunate to have rocks either side of him.

We performed well against a team tgat didn't turn up we really got lucky with big manny definitely should have been off, the manager needs to calm down what ever fotheringham said got under his skin just like last season when he was at hearts.

Agree re Manny. Hope we can use the 3 weeks break and get him to watch Mak for how to defend properly. What he's needed is someone to help him. Cut out that nonsense side of his game and we have 2 quality CBs.

With Fernandez it's all down to concentration or lack of. Personally I would get him some professional help in this dept because it could be the difference in winning or losing a league. The difference between having a £5M defender or or £25M.
The yellow card yesterday was down to not focusing on the man and getting caught wrong side. And to be brutally honest - it was absolute school boy stuff. Extremely basic imo. But we all see it week in week out he has that in his game and if he can get it out or at least minimise is to a couple of times a season rather than a couple of times a game then he will be a star,

Manny maybe rode his luck yesterday after the booking but at the end of the day the ref didn't deem it a foul and these things happen all through games all the time. But I think he settled down after this and went on to have a fantastic game.
Hopefully this is the turning point that he needs to realise that concentration is the biggest weakness in his game and he focuses more.

Although Fernandez has a mistake in him, he slso looks fabulous in big parts of games, remember he was our player of year last year.

Manny was playing in the English First Division a couple of years ago and now in the last two games he has been playing against Champions League strikers. Hogh never got a kick in both games and after struggling in the first 15 minutes he got Duran under control too. He was rightly booked and probably got off with one for that tackle on Nygren ( the only time I remembered he was playing) but he has settled down well after his early season disasters.
He has cut out the slackness and mostly stuck to simple defending. He is winning everything in the air at the back and just needs to get a few goals at the other end.

It's a fantastic accomplishment ehl, you will know more than me or anyone else how important it is to have a younger squad average, we now have valuable assets with years ahead of them, I pray Chermiti is back to his normal self because he will finance the following players in, I expect Gassama, Makanya, Fernandez and Chermiti to bring in a lot of money, we must find the proper replacement and for that we need the proper personnel to find them, we seem to have an issue with people in senior position, they're in senior position for good reason imo.

So teddy 1960, Celtic didn't turn up, Manny was very lucky to stay in the park and the manager needs to calm down. Are you sure you're an actual fan? I've seen many negative posts on here but yours is near the top of the league if that's all you took from a terrific Rangers performance.
