We've all got our own opinions on who should be starting for Rangers in different games and sunday's premier sports league cup quarter final against them, will be no different. π€
Rightly so, there's been a lot of talk on here last night after the game which continued this morning about Miovski's injury time winner and whether he should be starting more regularly for Rangers or not and i definitely think he should be given more of a chance and think he will under McInnes. π€
So to gauge how we all on here think regarding Miovski can you please run a poll for me ED. π€ My poll being, 'should bojan Miovski start for Rangers against Celtic on sunday' As usual very much appreciated ED π.

Miovski poll

SWS I voted No, however that's not because of any of the reasons posted on here regarding his attitude purely based on the first 45 mins last night was the best we've looked from an attacking perspective so far this season.

There is also the argument that we can bring him on later in the game. We don't have to start with our most attacking line up. The starting lineup should be the most balanced option and then depending on how we are going it becomes more attacking or hopefully more defensive in the closing stages.

If we play 2 up he has to start Kelsy and Naderi were after the same ball multiple times, One run in behind from a flick on 1 goal.
10 Sep 2026 22:20:27
I think he will go 1 up top. Naderi. He can press and harass their backline into some mistakes hopefully.

Based on one good moment? Sorry wouldn't be changing anything we've been doing last few games. As much as I've joked about him it should be Naderi with probably Kim behind him. Miovski or Kelsy off the bench depending how it's going.

The big issue we have is we have 3 strikers and we continue to scrape past teams with 1 goal.
This is simply not good enough, regardless of who starts if they don't get any service they will never score.

Agree, Kaiser. I'd start the first eleven from the first half of the St. Mirren game. Nice to have quality options off the bench as well π We'll need them all at some point.

what does Steive Clifford know thougn. im not saying he isnt right but i dont think Shankland would have started if fit either.
11 Sep 2026 08:15:06
Walter wouldnβt mind him being a super sub again and grabbing the winner.
11 Sep 2026 00:18:24
R1, you're correct - I counted at least twice where Naderi flicked it on and Kelsy was static right next to him.
Superally, I'd be surprised if we went with only 1, manager has said only this week that Naderi is better when playing with another striker beside him.

Kiwi, Have you watched the last couple of games? Only asking as you talk about service, we created plenty chances the last couple of games.
11 Sep 2026 01:10:32
Bouanani Minsu Gassama
Naderi, my front four.
11 Sep 2026 01:28:08
Surely you spend Β£9m on a striker to start these kind of games. I reckon we will go with both.
11 Sep 2026 01:48:20
Kiwi, our chances created and xG are high the last few games so we are actually underperforming. I'll take underperforming and winning any day of the week because it shows we're moving in the right direction. We're due to hammer a team. Hopefully it's soon.

Naderi has better than 1 in 2 goal contributions for us.
11 Sep 2026 06:36:07
I see fourladshadadream podcaster stevie clifford has stated on the Rangers review this morning that with shankland now out injured the remainder of this year, our closest like for like replacement is our matchwinner on wednesday bojan Miovski πHe insinuates this might well be the correct time to give Miovski his long awaited chance to start up front for Rangers π€π¬π§.
11 Sep 2026 06:40:59
We all are totally entitled to our opinions ie. should Miovski start or not against them on sunday and i've always wanted him to be given more of a chance π€I do however think McInnes will start with Naderi up front and will make sure we don't get outnumbered in midfield so i honestly don't think he'll start with a 4-4-2 system against them, which of course may well change, depending how the game is going π€π¬π§.

Minsu behind Naderi, Gassama and Bouanani wide, Raskin and Neil middle of the park, Celtic will play 4231.
11 Sep 2026 07:59:30
I think he'll add another midfielder into the mix on sunday, i'd play dragojevic or devlin alongside neil and let Raskin play slightly further forward, win the battle 1st and have Kim minsu and Gassama on either side of kelsy up front, still have Miovski, bouanani, Curtis, Naderi in reserve should they be needed when the pace of the game drops.

It takes time for strikers to bond the same as teams. Kelsey has just come in, let's not go down this road again. The guy needs a bit of time surely. Not to show he can play football but to get an understanding with his team mates.
Whether we've taken the chances or not, we were all crying out for improvement in the attacking phase which has definitely happened. As someone else says, we're due some team a battering, let's hope its the next 2 weekends.
