One one hand I want to praise Gassama for really stepping up, showing confidence and taking the game to the opposition defence.
On the other hand though he is going to kill this season unless he quickly improves his decision making in the final third! Far too many shots from distance which are either blocked or well over the bar.
Naderi played very well 1st half, mainly I think because Kelsy stuck close to him to win his 2nd balls. 2nd half a lot less effective. I just wish someone at Auchenhowie would teach the lad how to win a foul! He's constantly fouled a when jostling for the ball and gets very little off the ref's.
On to Sunday and if we can get another 1st half like tonight we could be out of sight by half time 🤞

Decent post, Zikos.
Somewhere in the middle for me, Gasman goes down too easily, Naderi doesn't. They're both young, so it's just decision making.
I actually think it's refreshing that a player stays on their feet, also think the game time will improve both as players.

I've been saying this about Gassama for ages, he has all the right tools but his decision making needs to drastically improve. If we can work that out with him, then he'll be a top player for us.

He's very wasteful and tries to go himself far too much. Don't think it helps that those around, like ODeary, don't look like taking chances, so he keeps trying to do it on his own instead.

Game has improved, but, like others, his decisions are woeful. He needs to involve others, yes, nice cutting in for a shot, but other players being involved may be more rewarding.

Who on earth is ODeary? I don't get why fans can't just support players instead of making strange Celtic-like nicknames for players who are doing something they could only ever dream of. 👍👍 A little respect goes a long way.

Was thinking it was a typo tbf.

In fact, it's clearly a dig at Naderi 🙄 the same Naderi who has won us the last 2 games with a winner and a last minute assist. No wonder players never give everything for us on a consistent basis.

Ach, lighten up. It was just a bit of a lighthearted dig. I'm hardly being abusive.

I'll say it again, there are 2 ways of playing football: when you have the ball, and when you want it back. We are very poor at getting it back. We are 5 yards off the opposition, any team can play it to each other before someone reacts. You cannot give the opposition the time to control the ball, look up, then pass it to someone standing with 5 yards of space to do the same.
There are players who can win the ball back, Midfielders: Gassama, Kim, Curtis, Tokota are good footballers but cannot win the ball back, they are dancers. They will run up to the man with the ball, then do a wee dance in front of him while he looks about to see who he can pass it to. We cannot play 2 Midfielders with 2 or 3 wingers against the minks on Sunday, or we will get overrun.

Reggie, I agree. We must improve out of possession. We now have several players who are a threat on the ball, but we are too easy to play through when we give it away.
A wee tactical tweak and we could be much more solid defensively.

Gassama I'm sure the vast majority of us would agree has everything in his locker to be a class winger and go on to play in a much better league. 🤔 Having said that, he needs to improve his delivery/final ball and shooting, and if he does he's going to be class whoever he goes on to play for. 🤔🇬🇧

Kaiser, you were slagging him when in another post you said you listened to the game on the radio. Hardly the best medium to make a judgement on.
If you had watched, you would see a player who ran his socks off and bothered their defence for the whole game. His flick for the goal was also aimed to go into Miovski's path.
Read others' posts in other threads, and you will see they want Miovski to start, but that Naderi is the partner they pick for him. I think he just needs that little bit more confidence, which will come as he has made a big step up in club if not league.
Only one Oh dearie, and that was your post. 🤷

DM needs to put a man on McGregor on Sunday all game. Last time we did it Barama man marked him all game and we gave them a doing. Put someone on him all game, don't let him get a touch of the ball, then we're half way there.
10 Sep 2026 09:09:43
I have watched him in plenty of other games, mate, so not just judging based on one game on the radio, mate. And, loads have spoken about him for the last 9 months, saying he looks like a German lower league player because they don't have confidence in him, so no, not just me.
If folk are going to get upset at that, then seriously Deary me. 🤦
Moving on, hope he does keep improving, and he has the chance now to claim the starting slot.

Angus, you're spot on in defending Naderi. Apart from his tremendous pressing, his overall game creates opportunities for teammates to exploit - he is constantly improving his game, which is admirable and great to witness - credit where it is due, not snide nicknames from any of our so-called supporters.
10 Sep 2026 12:28:38
Kaiser, it is a poor attempt at being funny and dissing the player that's won the last 2 matches for us. Naderi is a cracking cf and is only going to get better.
10 Sep 2026 12:58:14
No worries Wallace, just having a bit of a laugh (poor or not) but seems that's too upsetting to some on here, despite far harsher criticism of others. 🤷.
