So pleased that according to dujon Sterling that at last they've got to the bottom of his injury issues 👍😁 Mcinnes rates Sterling and little wonder and i now honestly can see Sterling staying and getting a new contract, he's happy at Ibrox and is our best right back bar none 🤔 Always rated and liked Sterling and only his injury issues were the problem so here's hoping that's been addressed and if it is like Sterling states, we've won a watch 👍🇬🇧

I honestly don't think so, Stevie G. 🤔 McInnes rates Sterling very highly, and of course he'll rest him in certain games, but I agree when Wallace said on here that Sterling is not only the best right back at Ibrox, he's also the best right back in Scottish football. 👌🇬🇧

SWS, most on this forum (maybe even yourself), wanted him sold to the English Championship for less than £1M just a few weeks ago.
imo, he's the best one on one defender in the league. His athleticism makes it very difficult to get round him, but from an attacking sense he offers very little. That's not a bad thing with Penrice in the side though, as he offers an attacking threat from defence.
My issue would be if Rommens finds his way back into the team, we wouldn't have any threat from the full backs and it would limit our attacking options.
I'm not sure about the young Serbian lad yet, but expect him to get plenty of minutes as dm will manage Sterling. Also not having European football will help him this year as well. Every cloud and all that.

I think you'll find I didn't want him sold and stated this, Zikos, so check your facts, my friend. 🤔 John was the one who constantly said we would likely be selling Sterling, with Derby County being the team he said was interested in him. 🤔 I'm delighted he remains at Rangers because he's good and our best right back easily. 👌 🇬🇧

I'll be honest, I've noticed this new Season.
He's looking better and looking more like the player he's supposed to be.
And he looks fitter, just not as quick as I'd like him to be, whether that comes or not, I'm not sure.
But his passing and long ball and defending are good, just needs the pace to keep up.

For me, I'm not convinced his injuries are behind him but I'm very much of the mindset with every player than we should never let a player go until we have their long term replacement (and hopefully upgrade) in the door and integrated with the squad.
And at that time of the transfer window, we didn't have anyone as good. Maybe the young Serbian lad will be just that. 🤞

I think he'll be offered a new deal, John, in all probability before the January window opens and that's my honest opinion. 🤔 It's clear as day McInnes rates him and is a superb one on one right back. 👌 He was the best playing against Maeda. 🤔
