Anybody seen the Nathan Patterson news away to Torino for 1 million euros with big sell on clause.

1m euros?? Sooooo, we could have got him for about the same as we paid for McCrorie. hmmm. That's good to know. 🤦 (And yes I realise he has injury concerns, and yes wages would of been a lot more, but still. 🤷).

He's not had a lot of games without being out injured, wouldn't be what we need to cover Sterling who's been problematic with staying fit too.

Gers78, you've just listed the reasons we shouldn't sign him? We already have a right back on big wages who has injury issues. McCrorie is probably 3rd choice right back and can play a few different positions. Why would you want Patterson to do that role, as you say, on big wages with injury issues?

Absolute bargain at that price if you can keep him fit. Didn't expect Everton to sell for so little, must be desperate.

Yeah, let's sign a guy that can't stay injury free that's had around 4 assists in 5 years. He would sort us out from the injury table in no time. It would just be like us to take a player like that on, that another team seems absolutely desperate to get him out there building.
No wonder they're desperate, they spent millions on him on transfer and wages and got absolutely hee haw in return. I'm glad we've not gone anywhere near him.

I know rb with Tav with an issue defensively, but I don't think we need 4 rbs on the books to make up for that.

Hope Torino have good physio set up? 🤔👍

Patterson would have been a far better signing than McCrorie who, after only a few weeks, has dropped down to third choice right back because we had to sign another right back who could actually play the position the way we need him to. The injury thing is always a concern, but according to McInnes, McCrorie was struggling with an ankle injury almost from the first pre season friendly.
As for him covering centre back, if that's what we needed why not buy an actual centre back, we all know we need one. Patterson, Sterling and an actual centre back is a far better balanced squad than what we have now.

I would have taken Patterson all day long, don't know if yous can remember him playing for us, but he is absolutely what we need down that right side. Not sure about how his career has gone since then, but he was a player and that's why Everton splashed the cash.

Wallace, he was injury prone here, he's been injury prone since he's left, if he's that much of a player why only 4 assists in 5 seasons, why are Everton desperate to get shot of him? Honestly think the people saying we should sign him would be the first to have a go when we get 10/15 games a season out him, 30/40k a week.
Not every player that has potential fulfils it. Patterson has not even nearly fulfilled it, that's a fact. I felt at the time we robbed Everton, still feel that way today.
Wsl, I'll never believe McCrorie was bought to be the no1 that's a myth.

When we sold Patterson to Everton it was a great deal for Rangers - pure profit - to even have thought about taking him back with his injury record would have been unthinkable. Best of luck to him in his new endeavour though.

The young guy we've just signed as an rb looks as if he'll do a job for us.
