An alright result tonight, glad we stuck to the 4-3-3.
Much better all round play in the 2nd half (barring Cammy Devlin being a fool).
I just wanted to zone in on Ryan Naderi, I see the lad suffer a lot of stick on here and all around the support but the amount of work the lad does all over the park and in the press is tremendous. While very different stylistically from these two players, he strikes me as a Dessers/Tav in the sense of you notice when he's not playing what he contributes.
Also good to see Barron back (whom I think if we are keeping should be played over Devlin).

I'm a huge fan of Naderi.
I can't really put my finger on it, but I just get a really good feeling about him.
He works tirelessly for the team, he's selfless, and doesn't seem to have a huge ego.
He's very humble. And he speaks well. It's never just about him.
He was my MOTM tonight. If we got that same effort from the other 10, things would be a whole lot different.

Work rate is second to none, always follows up into box after shots, which is a knack that pays off. Must be a pain to play against, but can look a bit awkward sometimes, which people pick up on instead of looking at his strengths. DM must see something in him, and he should improve the more game time he gets.

Yes, I like that about him. He's always running towards the goal. Even the defenders turned away from their goal. He sniffed the danger.
I know he's nowhere near the level of Haaland, but he puts me in mind of him a bit. His energy, running between the sticks. I'd like him to fill out a bit more.

Wouldn't call Devlin a fool, no malice or intent whatsoever. Think people need to just deal with the fact he is a Rangers player now.

All about opinions and each their own, but for >£5m I think Naderi is bang average.
Could have got someone who "works hard" for a lot less than that. Another example of horrific recruitment, not the boys fault, but for £5m you should be buying someone relatively proven and not a project.

Ghazz, Appreciate your opinion, but the boy should've had a goal and 2 assists last night. He put one on a plate for Drago when he hit the post & put a superb ball to Gass when he missed an absolute sitter.
That along with his goal & his second to none workrate, in a team void of much "creativity", seems pretty decent for 23 years old at.

I really don't see a player in Naderi - he is one paced and for a big lad you couldn't get a Daily Record under him - great to see him score last night and put in a shift and God loves a trier - but if we really think he is the future of our forward line and that trophies/titles will come on the back of his play then I am lost for words.
🤔 Sorry, but it's the way I see it - it's one position we clearly need better filled, imo.

Naderi absolutely gives his all and works very hard and has a good attitude, but I'm still not totally convinced by him yet, and I always give players time to settle. 🤔 Some on here are critical of other Rangers players who do a lot of running about, but they're limited, they say, and as of yet I'm just not sure Naderi will make it here at Rangers, although I hope I'm wrong.

Naderi was man of the match for me. Does a lot of donkey work, but jury's still out on him.
Better finishing from other players, he gets 2 assists as well.

I also like him for his work rate. He is an honest big lad but more often than not his second touch is a tackle.
He is young and has time on his side, but I don't see him being prolific. I thought his finish last night was quite poor and should have scored the tap in.

He scored the goal, with 10 men, he worked his socks off, ran channels and diagonals.
In and out the box, being a pest. Set up two sitters for team mates. My only thing I would pick up on was that he arrived in the box too early at times, and ended up waiting for the ball to come in.
He lacks a bit of poacher's instinct, but if Drago and Gass score then this is a different conversation. 2 goals in 2 games not including assists.

I'm sure when Rohl bought Naderi he said you wouldn't see the best of him for at least a year, as was a big jump in class going for lower German divisions to SPL. Only bought him as, in a year or two, we wouldn't be able to afford him.
The boy works like a Trojan, but can't see him being a 20 goal plus a season striker just yet anyways. Think we are crying out for a striker with pace to catch a team on the counter, especially if we go down to 10 like last night.
