EHL, seems to be a lot of posters not keen on Naderi.
What is your opinion on him?

The most frustrating things about Naderi, imo, Pieter, are his inability to hold the ball up, beat a defender in the air when the ball is played up to him, and how easy it is for defenders to ease him off the ball.
The boy is a big lad, but my God, he is so weak and easy for defenders to handle. He should be all over defenders and knocking lumps out of them!

I don't think he's had a fair crack of the whip. He's a 9 who's often found himself the support act. He might not be good enough, but I've yet to see him get a run in a settled side in his favoured position to come to try and form any opinion of him, let alone an accurate one.

I really like him, but think he'll struggle in the SPL.
His biggest strengths are his ability to press, run the channels and run beyond defences.
Given that the majority of the time, we'll face teams that alternate between a low and mid block and who won't build from the back progressively, his strengths are kind of nullified.
I'd love to see him get a run of consecutive games though, see if he can adapt and also to see if we can adapt to play to his strengths.

I had massive reservations when we signed him because of where he came from. He is our player now, and the majority of the time, when he is played out of position we won't see the best of him or if he can make it here unless he is played as a 9.

Sounds more like he would be suited to our European games then, as there tends to be more space for him to run into and also he can be the player who leads the press.

Ehl, we could probably say that about Chermiti as well imo. I would put any money at all on it that if Naderi was playing the no9 he would get more goals than Chermiti. I like him, but I don't think he's going to get a shot in the 9.

It was said when we signed him that his analytics were very impressive. Scouts had been sent to watch him based on this, and were impressed. It's going to take time for him to adjust. He's playing at a higher level, in a different country, and this club is a circus, which doesn't make things any easier.
Yokota just came from the German lower leagues as well. Maybe even signed under similar circumstances, because his analytics were very good (especially when it comes to dribbling), and we've taken a chance on him. It might take time for him to adjust as well.

Naderi's first game, he came on with Miovski and they both linked up brilliantly. That's who I want to see together again.

I like Naderi. Should be played right through the middle. He'll toughen up and score goals, but obviously you've got to play him. Maybe when Chermiti gets sold he'll get his chance. Was stated before, but perhaps more space in European games. I like the boy.

Naderi is a poacher, an old school number 9. Give him a run, give him the ball and he will score. His confidence will then grow.

Think he could be a better player than Chermiti, given a chance, if we played to his strengths and style. We obviously lack creativity, so any striker will struggle in our team, even Haaland.

Took the words out my mouth, blue89. If his strengths aren't suited to our league then why on earth did we buy him? I'm sure there must be strikers out there with the correct attributes for the Scottish game, I haven't seen anything from him yet to be honest, whether that's the lads fault or whether he's another square peg in a round hole.

We should stop assuming, because he's tall, he will be great at competing for high balls with centre backs coming through him. Play the ball into his chest and his feet, and let him build the play and buy fouls. Peter Crouch was 6'7" and that's the way his teams played to him because that was his strength.
We paid far too much for Naderi, because he's still raw and learning the game, but that's not his fault. He has talent but may need a bit of patience for us to get the benefit. He is good back up to Shankland and whoever else is first choice.
