The mass hysteria on here is mind blowing.
I note the absence of the more level-headed posters this morning. Wise choice.
1st competitive game of the season at a hard away ground vs a team who have already played 3 competitive matches. With largely a new team.
Was it pretty? No.
Do we need more quality? Yes
But I know I'm wasting my time trying to pit logic against hysteria, so you guys work away with your scatterguns.

Don't think it's hysteria. The performance was abysmal, and the key positions everyone knows about cost us.

I was out, so didn't see it. I don't think the comments about being under-prepared are unreasonable. Our season started last night and we weren't ready, that's unacceptable and, from what I've read, that's the recurring theme.
The league isn't decided on the first week, but the lack of preparation is criminal.

R1, totally agree. 🇬🇧

We'll probably sign wingers that's never been mentioned on here so far. 🤔 That's the way Rangers seem to conduct their transfer business now by keeping their cards close to their chest on signings. 🤔 🇬🇧

Same old Rangers. Us supporters know what was required at the end of the season, so surely our recruitment team knew. We lacked creativity all last season, but guess what, we signed midfielders with the same make-up, no right wingers. Gassama was extremely poor last season and hasn't improved much on the left. We say it every year, let's see how we look come September.

You have got to be kidding, mate. That's 4 years in a row we have failed to win 1st game. It's unacceptable. Different manager, some new players, same old Rangers. A good few of us knew this was coming, as we could see it prioritised the wrong positions. 8 new players and not one winger.
Manny overrated and at fault for the goal, seems to take lessons off Tav for jogging back.
Godfrey injury prone and injured 1st match.
Keeper, no idea what he was doing for the goal. Butland saves that.
McCrorie not the required standard, said at the time.
Rommens? Looks like it's his twin brother who's never played football before.
Sterling done ok. No doubt he out for a few weeks now.
Devlin never done much.
Neil looks as good as Rothwell at this early stage.
Dio needs sold, not suited to our league.
Gassama honking, never a football player.
Naderi played in the right? Looks like a German 3rd division player, said at the time it was a silly signing.
Shanks, very little movement, done nothing of note and can't play behind Chermiti as he is not mobile enough. Looks fat.
Chermiti had one chance to pass and played a pass back to United keeper instead.
Curtis not good enough to start yet and needs another loan.
Aasagard took his goal well, needs to do dirty side of game more.
Manager will always have my doubts about him.
Chasing already once again 1st game in.
Apart from that everything great. 🤦♂️
Weekend ruined by Rangers before it even begun.

"Mass Hysteria"?! Good one! 🤣
See if we were constantly winning titles, and not caught in a continuous loop, l of failure, your post might actually mean something, but we're not. It's not as if it's an overnight thing, or something new, it's been the same failures for over 13 years (55 being the exception).
The way your spouting there, you'd think we had been the dominant team, and not the basket we are.
I'm sorry to tell you this, my good man, but your "logic" is in the snow gritter, and as much as you don't want to accept it, so is our club right now.

It's not like it's been mindless rants or get him out stuff though, Athole. It's mainly just people expressing their disappointment and actually explaining what they can see is so obviously wrong, which the manager has also said. The "level headed" counter arguments are mostly ever just quit complaining, with no reasons why.
Just be patient, while we haven't seen evidence of change year after year. Please, I'd love to hear real positive reasons apart from just believe it will happen.

It's the same problems every year, so I understand why we are all annoyed.
For me, we are well short on players.
Rb lb cb rw lw and also could do with another creative cm that can score and assist.
Cause all current ones do is pass among themselves, no direct running.
Why we signed Godfrey is another mystery with his record.
So yeh a would say we are still 7 8 player short.
This squad is worse off in few positions and leaving Chermiti on bench, what was that all about, he was our top striker last year so deserved to start.
Any striker will struggle score in this team as no creativity so there not to blame, but don't agree with dropping him. Shankland needs service, Chermiti creates himself.
For me am not impressed with Godfrey, Neil, McCrorie signings.
We still need good few signings and quality ones not basement signings and free.

Pretty much sums things up, guys. Squad seriously lacking in any real quality all over the park, just don't understand of our signings. We need much better quality. I'm a great believer you get what you pay for, although occasionally you might pick up the odd bargain that turns out decent, but that's the exception, not the rule.

Last night was the type of performance Rohl was getting vilified for at the end of last season.
The type of performance that Martin got chased out of the club for in October.
It's early days, but things can only get better.

You reap what you sow all the way back to MB with the highest win rate of any manager getting sacked.
You all have David Murray Syndrome. We've been awful for 15 years and expecting anything but a build for at least 2 years is crazy.
I guess we can sack and start again. That has been working perfectly for us since we started doing it, 12 signings again next season with half the team the new manager doesn't want to build a completely new style, Again.

Your team sacking your manager, ours isn't.
