Before anyone goes overboard on how good they think this team that DM has assembled is, be honest with yourself and ask, Who would get into the Celtic team?
Bear in mind Nico Raskin will most likely be away and Ferguson isn't coming, lol.

Being brutally honest, not many slim
Manny instead of scales. Maybe the keeper, but time will tell on that one and that's probably about it.

Slim, at the start of last season ask yourself how many of the Hearts team would have got into the Celtic team and you would come up with the square root of none. And they pushed them to the final few minutes of the season.
So, personally not bothered whether we have individual superstars in our team but want a manager who puts a team and squad together who fight and battle and get enough points for us to win. If none of those individually are good enough to get into the best 11 from a choice between both teams I wouldn't lose any sleep at all.
But yes having talented individuals is good but they need to firstly play for the team to allow them to show their skills. It has been years since we have had that. I am not McInnes' biggest fan but know from watching his other teams the whole is greater than the parts. I want that here as well.

I'm just waiting to see how we perform tonight. We'll certainly see more fighting than on previous seasons. I also believe we have more talent on our squad than some give credit to. Come on Gers, let's get 3 points on the board tonight.

Does not take much for names to change to who would get in other teams, be a good question to ask come first Old Firm game.

We haven't even played a competitive game yet, so I don't know how we can judge Godfrey, Pandur, Devlin, Neil, Dragojevic, Shankland, etc., about getting in their team.
