Apologies everyone I was given the wrong information on Dan Neil being named club captain. I couldn't believe it myself when I was actually told. Lawrence Shankland is the right choice for me meantime 🇬🇧

Shankland is a battler with a fighter's heart, so he'll do for me. The boy is staunch and won't take anyone shirking their duties, so he ticks a lot of boxes.
I know a lot wanted Godfrey, but C'mon, he's not even our player?! What sort of message would that send out to our own?
Shankland is the right choice, and I'm thankful D McInness makes the decisions and not some on here.

I agree, Fourlads. I'm v.happy with Shankland as captain.
Is there any rumours of potential fee for McCausland? With 2 x RW possibly departing, what are the chances of us going for 2 RW to replace them?
I don't see Curtis as a starter, but wouldn't be looking to send him out on loan.
If I'm honest, now Antman and McCausland possibly away, I'd be looking to bring in a RW starter ie a Cerny, be looking to move on Gassama and get Moore back on loan as starting LW with Curtis and the lad from Coventry as back ups.

Coisty, from what I was told, I have heard Cerny's name consistently for weeks and posted we are very much interested in him. I was also given 2 RWs from SPL that we have also been keeping track of, Mawsnashe and Mulligan.
Not heard anything else, but information is very tight. Circa 4mil for Antman. No info on fee for McCausland, but just be glad to see him moved on.

Think Shankland might be the best dealing with our refs to be fair, always thought the Celtic captain got off with murder for himself and team, hopefully ours can do the same.

Think it's the best man for the job. Would have had Godfrey as a temporary captain, but happy with Shanks. He'll show the right attitude. If DM doesn't like strikers as captain in the future, think he'll accept passing it on.

Does naming him club captain cover he may not play every game, but will be the main voice and conduit between players and manager. Also tried 5 captains pre-season, so we have a few candidates if he isn't playing to take the match day captain's role.

4 lads, the only reason I believe you put it as fact is you never said anything about it being a might. When people said good info, you were happy for it to be put out as fact, and then when people say, does anyone in the know have any details about certain things, you answer as an ITK. I wasn't attacking you.

12th, I agree saying "McInnes has picked Dan Neil as his club captain" sounds fairly solid as a fact to me and not like a rumour.
I know this will be criticised, but don't have a go at others for picking you up on it. Yes, I did go back and check, copy and paste as I remembered it being said as a fact as well.

100% if you say the manager has picked a player as captain, it's a matter of fact, nothing else, but at least you have owned it.
People that come on and say they are ITK aren't really ITK anyway, so don't know why people get knickers in a twist. A very select one or two on here, yes; everyone else, nope.

I didn't state this as a fact though. I posted what I got told on Monday night from a friend. He sent me a message stating McInnes has picked Dan Neil as club captain. I copied and pasted it and put it on here.
I even said I'm the thread myself that I was surprised he hadn't picked Shanks. Nothing is ever a fact. I'm not that good and don't ever want to be. 👍🏻
