If we want an idea of what it will cost to sign Mikey Moore, boro have just signed 20 yo winger will lankshear from spurs for total fee of £20m with an initial £10m payment,
Now he scored 11 on loan at Oxford last season.
Moore is higher rated, had a loan at a bigger club played in Europe and won young player of the year for us and the league.
You're going to be looking closer to £30m if u ask me. Probably initial 18-20m with rest in add ins
We won't be doing that deal.

Unfortunately, I totally agree, Stevie G. 🤔 Mikey Moore way too expensive for us. ☹️ 🇬🇧
21 Jul 2026 16:58:33
We already have Curtis. No need for Moore. Best of luck to the Spurs player wherever he ends up.
21 Jul 2026 17:07:50
Stevie, you're correct. Moore is rated higher at Spurs, believe Lankshear has only played a few games for them, and a couple of years older, I'm sure.
21 Jul 2026 17:21:55
Yea, Beale, mate, he's 20, Moores 18.
They're likely moving on the older youths to create a pathway for the ones De Zerbi rates.
Rohl with cheese.
Curtis is going to be one of 2 right-sided forwards.
We need to sign another.
Gassama is one of 2 left-sided forwards.
We need another, it makes a lot of sense to use the loan market for one of those positions and buy cash for the other.
Moore will, imo, be a Rangers player by close of window on years loan at likely 2 or 3 m.
Moore

It's why his god status last season made no sense to me.
30m player and that's his output?
I had to listen to fans complaining about Chermiti because of the 8m fee?
Would he be a hero if he signed him for 20m? I doubt it, the same fans would be calling him a complete flop.
21 Jul 2026 17:44:36
He's 18, Devlin, so let's see what he's like after another season of first team football. I'd rather sign a permanent player, but if he came back on loan I wouldn't be annoyed. He will be a far more developed player. Remember it took him about 5 months to get up to speed.
21 Jul 2026 17:53:32
He didn't have a god status? People liked him, that doesn't mean he had a god status 😂😂 Jesus.
21 Jul 2026 18:00:52
I couldn't agree with you more, Cammy. Moore badly lacked end product. He was like Ryan Kent in that sense.
Curtis scored 3 for Rangers at the start of last season. I think he got 5 goals for Kilmarnock. If Curtis was given the full season, he could hit double figures and get a PFA YPOTY nomination.
Very much looking forward to seeing what Curtis brings us this season from his preferred left-wing. He scored there for Scotland too. I don't really care about Moore. He's got nothing to do with us.
21 Jul 2026 18:02:10
Why would we continue to develop another club's player, Wishy? What he can do next season is not our business as he is not our player. Our player is Curtis. Imagine how better Curtis would be if he had a full season at Rangers last year. We don't need or want Moore back.
21 Jul 2026 18:05:12
Not many players Rangers have had over the last while that get you off your seat. Moore was one of them. I'd love Moore being a Rangers player next season, but really can't see it happening. His best bet for his career is moving on loan to a far better league.
Moore has some career ahead of him, a cracking young player with great potential.
21 Jul 2026 18:08:42
We don't want him back, believe that's only your take, Roll, as I'd love him back, just don't think it will happen.
21 Jul 2026 18:08:55
What Moore brought to the team that most don't recognise is his ability to carry the ball 60 yards when we're under pressure in our own half. His trickery and skill can tire defenders over the course of the game.
You're correct, there is an element of Ryan Kent there I wouldn't disagree, however he's 17, not long 18, so let's get things in order.
Over the course of a game, his distance covered, dribbles completed, ball won in opposing half, etc.
will all make a huge difference to the game.
He needs to add better numbers, but I think if we got him this season with a good confident team around him and winning, not Russel Martin's team, c'mon now, then I think you'd get over 10 goals and at least 15 assists.
21 Jul 2026 19:00:11
Rohl, not roll. 😁
21 Jul 2026 19:33:52
Problem with Curtis is that I don't believe long term he should be developed as a winger.
21 Jul 2026 19:50:52
It's not just my take, Star. It's the perspective of every Rangers fan that knows what a quality little player Curtis is. We don't need Moore, who lacks an end product. We already have someone who is at least as good, if not better, in Curtis.
You might want Moore back so Curtis can sit in the stand handing in transfer requests again, but I don't.
I want Curtis to play his football right here at Rangers, on the left-wing, and he can be just as good as Moore.
For anyone saying 'both can play at the same time' - I remember Russell Martin said that a year ago. It never happened.
21 Jul 2026 20:22:47
I honestly think Findlay Curtis' best position is central no.10 position, behind 1 or 2 strikers. 🤔🇬🇧
21 Jul 2026 20:39:29
Stevie, you make the right point. He is 18, not the finished product and despite his talent he made no real difference to the team despite costing multi-millions. Surely then there is a player we can buy who can do that and have a re-sell value. Curtis is already that type of player and although at his age he can't play all the games he can get a few and do the same things.
Spurs played Moore season before last and sent him on loan because he wasn't good enough for their team. We are either developing him for them or putting him in the shop window. Neither are good enough for us at such a high cost.
21 Jul 2026 21:09:48
Rohl, I'd have Curtis as well, but Moore is a very good young player, I'd have him back, but his best bet is moving to a far better league, who's wanting Curtis to hand in a transfer request? If another player is holding down the left wide position, you must be thinking Curtis will hand in a transfer request instead of challenging him.
21 Jul 2026 21:16:52
Angus, I know what u and others mean, but if he played left with Gassama we then need 2 right wingers as Antman won't cut it.
Moore's a safe bet for me. Balance etc.
For 2/3m loan fee, we won't get very much in a transfer fee. I mean, Braga is £8m, just was £5m, wish we got just.
21 Jul 2026 21:24:30
No one knows how much the loan would cost, just guessing.
21 Jul 2026 22:20:18
Stevie, truth is we don't know how any decision plays out, but I would rather we spend our money on our players or elite quality loanees to fill gaps. MM isn't in that category. Yes, he is perhaps a safe(r) bet, but not particularly inspiring imo, given he wasn't the true difference maker I would want. Cerny was that, but not sure he wants back or even if I want a 2 year older player.
But rather him than MM, as he gives more experience to the squad.
McInnes likes wingers, and he likes them to go past players on outside, so does that suit Antman. If not, then Curtis has and can play on right, and we will add to both sides still, I reckon. Just don't see the benefit in MM for the amount they will want in both loan fee and wages, even if that is just £1-2M.
22 Jul 2026 01:14:13
That's fair points mate, what eve happens I've got every faith in Derek to get it right.
