Don't know about anyone else but I personally what us to sign Dahl but it seems to be dragging out one thing after another, I'm not an expert but how is it just pay them what they want and get it over line and we win the league.

I hope it isn't that, and it's just get one out and one in sort of thing. He can easily be snapped up by someone else while we wait, especially with his form.

So an untied youngster from Norway is going to win us the league.
He couldn't even make the Norwegian WC squad; even Aasgaard managed that. Someone with more knowledge than me may know, but could it be his data figures are not great, so not a lot of interest from top teams? All transfers seem driven by statistics nowadays.

It's ok for someone who actually maybe knows what's happening to say that, Ehl, but for the rest of us mushrooms, these things do feel like we are going to miss out if we don't get them over the line/scarf above head etc.

Coully, I honestly have no idea if we're interested in Dahl, and if we are how far along the deal is.
For whatever reason the potential signing seems to have generated a crazy amount of traction on here, as the deal's been completed almost daily since the window opened, and as each day passes, the player's reputation swells more and more.
I will say again, I've never watched him, but based on his reputation on here I'm shocked it appears to be a battle between us and Cardiff to sign him.

What I would say is Dahl is more dynamic, he's a runner, ball carrier, and more of a goal threat.

Ehl, it's maybe because we have all watched him, or at least footage of him. The guys getting serious numbers from midfield, and it's something we have lacked and our neighbours have had for years and keep managing to find.
Reilly, Nygren and so on.
His form is trending upwards with back to back screamers putting him top scorer in his league from midfield.
Bigger fish are going to take notice.

Don't believe it's only Cardiff that's interested in him, many clubs have showed interest.
Jasp, maybe the manager decided he'd pick a player that was playing the qualifying rounds. Dahl is only 20 years old.

Every time his data improves, it will bring more attention, so him scoring every week and scoring from distance, performance levels and so on, he's going to highlight/show up on teams' data systems for what they are looking for, surely?
Or am I to assume Dahl can no longer be noticed by bigger teams as he continues from now on as his data improves?

The good ol naked eye is how I like to judge a player, and I'm telling ye Dahl is top drawer quality.
He will be a world class centre mid in no time, mark my words.
Other clubs' loss will be our gain.
Too many people tied up in stats n awe that nowadays.

Coully, we've been keeping tabs on Dahl for about 18 months now, and we're definitely not alone. Hundreds of clubs will be doing the exact same thing.
Modern recruitment teams analyse hundreds of different metrics, narrowing it down to the 20 or 30 that matter most to their specific club.
Because of this, a couple of recent "screamers" won't actually move the needle on club interest. Teams just don't base decisions on isolated highlights anymore, although I understand why fans do.
I've said it on here before, but raw goals scored is no longer the gold standard for recruitment teams, even when they are looking for a new striker.
Again though, I am not being critical of Dahl as I have no idea how good he is, I'm just calling out that I doubt he's as good as his reputation is becoming on here - as if it was, we'd have no chance of recruiting him and there'd be bigger clubs than us and Cardiff circling.

If we don't sign him, then it can only mean we don't want him. We have apparently hot shotted a private jet of big wigs over. It's claimed on here we don't need to sell to buy him, so surely, if he isn't tied up yet, then we have decided not to pursue the signing.
