I wasn't a huge fan of signing Cammy Devlin, for no other reason than his temperament. I didn't hide the fact that I felt there was nasty streak there. I'm all for fight, agression, passion and desire but not unsportsmanship like behaviour.
I can't really speak of him as a player becaue I don't really know, but having seem some of the stats, it seems we'll be getting a lot of those attributes I've mentioned above. I just hope that he's matured as a player and that nasty streak has maybe done.
I listened to his interview and I have to say I enjoyed and and got a good feeling. He seems genuinely excited to be here and I don't believe he'll give it any less than 110% every time he pulls on the shirt and we have been seriously lacking that.

Don't mind a wee nasty streak to be honest, as long as he is clever enough to get away with it more than not.
Think Brown, McCall, Ferguson.
Not a bad thing to have, Brown at Celtic got away with it for years.

Don't mind a wee nasty streak, most of the best players have that. I describe unsportmanship players as cheats who dive, feign injury, etc.

I take your points. I also look at unsportsmanlike to deliberately try to harm an opponent and I've felt that with him at times. It's that bit I don't like.
I would love for players to get red carded for diving.
Yellows don't seem to cut it, and I deplore when I see other players asking for other players to be booked and holding fake cards up. Also, trying to referee the game and tell the refs how to do their jobs.

The goalie told me on a day out years ago that Walter Smith started naming his team after training the day before a game if Ian Ferguson was dropped as he was worried he'd clatter whoever was playing in his position.

The difference is that Brown, McCall, Souness and both Fergusons were terrific players who had a bit of dig in them. Certainly wouldn't put Devlin in that category.

I'm hearing all sorts about the gaffer from Hearts fans; stuck in his ways, boring football, doesn't fit the Jamestown way blah, blah, blah. 3 of their 4 most important assets have come to Rangers and they are not best pleased but, understandably, don't want to show it.
