Not sure if we have done this.
Favourite home game at Ibrox and why.
The memory that sticks in my head. The great Aussie ? Tony Vidmar scoring against Parma.
The joy I remember. Asking was that actually Tony Vidmar ??
Also the guy next to me charged past, barged into my Dad in his 60s then put him on the ground ran down to the pitch.
My brother said at time when he come back up we are going to have a wee chat with him ?.
30 seconds later the guy tries to get onto pitch gets huckled and not to be seen again.
Maybe not the best game but the one that sticks in my memory.

Parma is the most iconic game I've been at Ibrox. Leipzig and Braga were special on the road to Seville. Parma game, I thought the Broomloan was going to collapse, as it was shaking. What a night that was against arguably the most talented line up we've faced. An incredible result that night.

Rangers 5 them 1 at Ibrox in 88. Unbelievable day. Not even in my teens, with my Dad, Uncle and 2 cousins! Never forget it till the day I depart earth.
Dortmund away 95. Young soldier, minibus of squaddies from the UK to Dortmund. Absolute chaos! Klos in goal for Dortmund, Gazza red card, Laudrup lob to open the scoring, Durie late equaliser and the police after the game were very robust let's say when we all sung Hitler has only got 1 ⚽️

It's always your first time at Ibrox as a kid, for me, as most go there with someone important in their lives, like their dad or family.

Ibrox4me, Braga on the way to Seville but Braga from 2-0 down a few years prior under Gerrard as well. Think that was our first knock out game in Europe for a long time and what a come back and atmosphere that was.

I wasn't at the Parma game but watched on TV - one of the best. Leipzig got to be up there also.

Rangers v Leipzig, 3-1 Rangers 3-2 aggregate. It's my favourite as I knew it would be the last game I went to. Knees can't cope with it anymore. After that I became an armchair supporter.

I've been fortunate enough to play against Rangers at Ibrox a couple of times. My favourite being where I played out my skin to help secure a draw.
That'll live with me forever.
Obviously won't name the specific game.

Anyone else away googling Scottish player plays out his skin to earn draw at Ibrox? Joking, EHL, love the mystery, mate.
10 Jul 2026 11:51:30
Awe, EHL. ? ?
For me, it wasn't a live one, but it was the 3-1 win at home when Gazza scored the hat trick to secure (was it 8 or 9 IAR?)
I was in bits, and I kicked, headed every ball. I was down on my knees crying at the end.

5-1 in 88, my first Old Firm game.

Some great memories there.
Mine was Marseille 2-2 at Ibrox. I was in Broomloan.
When our 2nd goal went in, we were going mental. Then a guy came rolling all the way down the stairs.
When he reached the bottom, he just got up and started jumping about mental too.
Everything seemed to stop for those few seconds until he jumped back up!
Great memory.
Great season.
Remember the pull-out in the Evening Times. Picture of Gough on the front bleeding, with the headline 'the team that refused to die'.
Sad to say, we've not had many of those memories over the last decade or so (stopping 10IAR aside).

Bayern Munich in 1972 Cup Winners Cup semifinal. Team announced, and everyone was asking who is Parlane? Sandy Jardine scored in the first minute, then big Derek scored after about 20 minutes. Great night.

I thought everybody knew who EHL is, Boy Blue.
10 Jul 2026 11:57:28
Likewise, EHL. Played there a few times late 70s, when in my early 20s and the thing that got me was the crowd size in comparison to what I was used to at the time. Being a boyhood fan, it was a dream.
Was difficult to turn them down soon after.

Outside some great euro nights, the 2-2 draw against them with 9 men, East Enclosure that day was a danger zone.

Aberdeen away April 1987.

Leipzig hands down.
I still watch the video regularly of the celebrations after the final whistle.

Jfm, it's posso am from mate, you have to learn fast up that way. ??

Watched RB Leipzig match on the telly, but have spoken to guys who were at the match, and they reckoned this was the top for atmosphere. I still get goosebumps listening to Rory's commentary when Lundstram netted the winner. Luuuuunnnnddddsssttrrrraaammm!!!
Epic match ended with me and the boy hugging each other and dancing about the living room. Great memories.
