I ain't his biggest fan, as most know on here, but I suspect McInnes will want him to stay and will play him. McInnes may get the best out of him, who knows.

He's rugged and takes no prisoners. Just needs the finer details of his game ironed out, and he will be fine as a back up to our new lad on loan. If that's not for him then plenty will be offering for his services.

I wouldn't mind if he was 4th-choice center-back, but I'm not sure he would be up for that.

He signed a deal, so tough luck, John, you're staying for the season and can leave next summer, mate.
I'd have him back up to Godfrey, but like with all players, he has the chance to be first choice. It's all down to the players.

I felt Souttar was best at Hearts when they played with a back three, and I think there will be times McInnes will play with three at the back.

We need two CBs, maybe 3 if Manny goes. We should not be selling Souttar and making us buy 4 CBs in the one window.

I have a feeling that Souttar will be a better player under McInnes. Souttar has been struggling with illness and fitness and probably went to USA out of sentiment as he wasn't fit to play. On his day he is Scotland's best centre back. In general, he has not been the strong leader that we expected him to be. But that may change now.
