Just listened to the Godfrey interview. I don't know about anyone else, but I got a good feeling in my bones about him.

His fitness is still a concern, I didn't realise he's suffered from server covid, which is still impacting him today. His pace allegedly has decreased as a result of this, something which he'll probably get away with in the SPL. Here's hoping this move works.

He's British, so should settle quickly, and with a full pre-season he should hopefully kick on. I just hope this is not a repeat of our previous mistakes with English players. I will reserve judgement.

He went to Everton for about £30m at 1 point, definitely a player in there, hopefully McInnes can help him rediscover his best form again.

I'm not a big fan of these "if he can rediscover his best" signings, they give me the fear. Having said that, I'll get right behind the boy, then some.

Long Covid? I didn't know this. I haven't seen this anywhere. I'm doubtful he would have passed a medical if there were any major concerns about his lungs etc.

Same as we wouldn't have been able to attract players like Olsen, Ramsey, Cantwell, Lammers, Mystar. These signings very rarely work out, mate. Would rather have someone that's on form and on the rise, not someone trying to rediscover.
