Glad to see Clarke go, but in reality I wouldn't go out my way to watch Scotland even if they were playing in my back garden. Just watched England struggle again, they always bum up their so called superstars. I don't watch Arsenal but I've never seen a player in Saka but that's just me.

Sooner they are out the better for me.

They will improve as the opponent improves. A squad set up to play on the counter and hit teams with width.

John McGlynn would be the perfect replacement to transition the squad.

This World Cup has Argentina written all over it.

I read he has the squad now set up to challenge the better teams, which is why they might struggle against the low block. They were better against Croatia (who were poor, granted) because they want to play football. It will be interesting to see how far he gets them as they have good players, but just don't think they are a good team.
But it is about growing into a tournament, and not peaking in your first 3 games, as they always seem to do, only to come unstuck vs the better teams.

You and me both, Storm.

BT Saka, Bellingham & Kane are the only ones that do well for England, maybe Rice. Saka has not been fully fit for a season & a half now, picks up small injuries & knocks a lot, played into the ground due to a lack of another rw at Arsenal.
If you watch him 2 seasons ago you'll see what a player he really is. Arteta has changed from then too & is more defensive than free flowing & pragmatic now.

Saka is a great player who has struggled through trying to play through an Achilles injury, he is a difference maker who gets vital goals for club and country.
England's problem is their over rated coach who has picked a whacky squad and doesn't know how to set them up to break down tight defences.

Agreed BT - The England wide men fall short when you look at the top guys on the Euro stage in those positions. People like Saka and Rashford are way too inconsistent.
